Dear Googlers, if you want to be surprised what is possible from local people in a small little hut, go there and let yourself be surprised. I went there to see how the beach is, all of a sudden I found this small little kiosk/snackeria there, I got in touch with them, and voila I booked a private sunset dinner for the next day for my girlfriend and me. And here comes the experience. The beach was litterly for us two this evening, the sunset was a thing I never saw in my life and with all this, we had a lobster, freshly made and a good bottle of wine. "Sweety", her husband and her son took care of us like nobody else, the food was fantastic and remarkable. I would like to should it out to the entire world..."go there, try the food, enjoy the hospitality and Mauritius. If you don't go, you will miss something.....Thanks for all you did for us...Dirk & Betty

Great Little booth with very friendly and lovely owners at the parking lot of Balaclava Beach. They sell fresh fruits, homemade infused fruits and a choice of freshly prepared meals (fried rice and noodles, fresh fish, kebab etc). We went several times (3 times at least) and had rice and noodles(250 MUR). They even setup a table for us at the beach so we could have the food directly at the water. If you stay at one of the nearby hotels (Beachcomber, Oberoi, Meridien) we highly recommend to try out for lunch if you want to have great local and reasonably priced food. They are usually around for lunch till around 3 p.m. Unfortunately they were closed at the last day of our holiday so we couldn’t say good bye and enjoy a farewell meal. Hope to see you next time.

Lunch at Sunset Cabanne was a memorable experience that encapsulated the essence of Mauritius's hospitality and culinary excellence. Whether you're a visitor or a local resident, I highly recommend indulging in a meal here to savor not just the delicious seafood but also the breathtaking ambiance and attentive service that make it a standout destination on the island. Gretings to the team for this excellent experience with big thanks from Rijeka-CROATIA!!🇭🇷🇲🇺💯

We really wanted to enjoy this — esp as the service was so lovely (friendly, table laid out like in the photos) — but I have to give this one star for bad food. The grilled fish was bad (it smelled fishy / gone off) and there was hair in the rice. We tried eating it anyway, and had about a quarter of it before my stomach started to feel upset (I paid for that later). I’m from the Caribbean myself so very comfortable eating from hole-in-the-wall, but sadly the food wasn’t...
