Dear Googlers, if you want to be surprised what is possible from local people in a small little hut, go there and let yourself be surprised. I went there to see how the beach is, all of a sudden I found this small little kiosk/snackeria there, I got in touch with them, and voila I booked a private sunset dinner for the next day for my girlfriend and me. And here comes the experience. The beach was litterly for us two this evening, the sunset was a thing I never saw in my life and with all this, we had a lobster, freshly made and a good bottle of wine. "Sweety", her husband and her son took care of us like nobody else, the food was fantastic and remarkable. Read moreGreat Little booth with very friendly and lovely owners at the parking lot of Balaclava Beach. They sell fresh fruits, homemade infused fruits and a choice of freshly prepared meals (fried rice and noodles, fresh fish, kebab etc). We went several times (3 times at least) and had rice and noodles(250 MUR). They even setup a table for us at the beach so we could have the food directly at the water. If you stay at one of the nearby hotels (Beachcomber, Oberoi, Meridien) we highly recommend to try out for lunch if you want to have great local and reasonably priced food. They are usually around for lunch till around 3 p.m. Unfortunately they were closed at the last day of our holiday so we couldn’t say good bye and enjoy a farewell meal. Hope to see...

The grilled fish was bad (it smelled fishy / gone off) and there was hair in the rice.
