I had a bad experience at Tribeca we ordered a black pepper with rice, instead they gave us a thai black pepper udon and that also was after 45 minutes. When we told them they didnt even had the decency to say sorry and said we should have checked our receipt. We were there 2nd time how was we supposed to know there are 2 type of black pepper dish which could have been communicated by your cashier. Plus we didn’t ask for a refund yet they refunded us when we refused to take the udon dish instead of making the other dish. They simply refunded and said if you take the other one it will take more time. We have already waited 45 minutes. Also the staff that talked to us was extremely rude. Instead of apologising he took out his frustration or anger or whatever it was and said take the food for free here i refunded you you can eat that for free when we didnt even ask for a refund!!! And we can pay for our food thank you very much!. What kind of training does the compay give the staff. Not only that they were arrogant like yes we had a lot of client so what about one refund. They were dismissive and had a lot of attitude. Even if your food is good am not going again. Just because your food is good that doesnt give you right to treat client this way. Also we were not the only one. There was another client behind us that ordered 4 fried rice but received only one and too...
Read moreI usually have a good impression of Xpress Thai, especially when ordering from Tribeca. where the food quality has consistently been excellent. However, my recent visit at Trianon was a letdown. I ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Soup, expecting the same quality I enjoyed in the past, but was a disappointment.
The soup arrived surprisingly fast, within just 5 minutes, but that was the only positive aspect. It was served cold (as if it has been sitting here since a while) , and the glass noodles were undercooked, making them tough to eat. The soup lacked vegetables (only 3-4 pieces of mushroom) and the balance of spices was completely off.
Given the busy state of the restaurant, with the staff overwhelmed and the crowd too large, I chose not to complain directly at the time. Unfortunately, I ended up not eating my meal due to these issues. This experience was very disappointing, particularly because I know how good the food can be from my previous visits. I hope this feedback will...
Read moreThey make the best fried noodles of the country. We literally needed these foreigners to teach us Mauritians how to make our supposedly “best dish”.
I don't mind paying Rs 400 for a lamb thai fried noodles + extra shrimps because their chefs will blow your mind away — they are skillful, know how to toss a wok like pros to properly fry the noodles and amalgamate all the flavours.
Of course, the sauce is absolute divinity; the lamb is tender and of prime quality, and eggs are never over-fried — three aspects that Mauritian cooks fail to understand because of an apparent lack of intelligence when it comes to cooking fried noodles.
Their thai fried rice is otherwise absolutely tasteless and their outlet at Tribeca is a massive shame. I recommend only the one at Trianon for their thai...
