Big Willy's — Restaurant in Tamarin

Do not attended here if you want to be sexually discriminated. If you wear Birkenstock / sandals as a man to this place please be aware they will kick you out after 10:30pm, it is not advertised on the website or any social media they have about this said policy. We were there last night for a meal at 8pm and was welcomed and nobody informed us of this rule as we ate food and had various drinks and the time passed to 12am and the waiter Rakesh who had been serving us all night still hadn’t informed us of this footwear policy, when we decided to go up for a dance on the dance floor and we had been dancing for 15 minutes a bouncer pulled me to a side and asked us to leave because I was wearing Birkenstock sandals. I questioned and pointed out why females were allowed to wear them on the dance floor and not males and he said this is policy, I said that it is a sexual discrimination to males and the bouncer AJ agreed with me on this and asked us to leave as it was policy. Please be aware of this if attending this venue as you may of travelled far and be asked to leave due to this sexist...

For starters, we went with the cheese samosas. They were crispy fried and completely filled with cheese. Taste wise, they were good. Were they special, not really. But still good. Another starter we had was the lamb kebabs. Flavorful, tastes like something you would cook at home. We also had another starter than includes either eggplants or zucchini’s on top of a large crispy biscuit. The combination was surprisingly good but the biscuit itself was extremely hard to cut through and it also felt impossible to eat with your hands.

For our main dishes, we had the Mama Wagyu Burger with mild spiciness. Because we were hungry, we added a fried egg. It was good, the sauce elevated the flavor but still nothing special. Liked it the first time we visited. However, second time visit we faced racism and discrimination in the club by a female customer. Bouncers were okay with her violent and unacceptable behaviour. Would not even listen to my side of the story. Such a shame that such reprehensible hateful behaviour is excused. I have been to many nightclubs around the world and never witnessed this type of overt racism. I hope in the future management trains their bouncer to deal with racial incidents properly.
