Las Alitas — Restaurant in Aguascalientes

(Updated September 11, 2023) I noticed that someone from the restaurant responded to my review so I decided to give Las Alitas another try. I sat at the bar counter. Staff was polite and attentive. He took my order immediately and brought my drink within few minutes. I was curious about how fast i get my food this time so was timing on my cel. Today food arrived in 19min. This is not super fast but reasonable. The restaurant was very crowded so overall experience was much better than my previous visit.

Granted its only one visit but i do feel more comfortable returning there again.

I also want to thank the staff for caring enough to respond to my previous review. I know Im only 1 voice but you took the time to address this single voice. Because of your response visited your restaurant today. Thank you.

———————————— (Previous Review) I normally don’t like posting anything negative but I would like to share my experience with people considering to eat here.

I like the food here, yes I actually enjoy the food but service is EXTREMELY SLOW. I’ve eaten here more than 5 times and it’s consistently SLOW. I live in US so you may think I’m use to US service standards and this is normal comparing to US. NO!! I’ve eaten in many restaurants throughout Mexico (CDMX, GDL, HMO, TJ, AGS, Merida, Puebla, etc etc) and service in MX is normally better than US. Ok maybe not the fastest but still good. But this place, it’s the SLOWEST serving restaurant I’ve experienced. I can understand staff shortages, super complicated dish or restaurant fully packed with clients but there is no reason for this service when the restaurant is less than 25% filled and you have more than 10 staff roaming around on the floor. I’ve also monitored the out going take-out food and it was relatively not too busy. Servers were not rude or lacked kindness so they were good people but definitely poorly trained. They’re not attentive, takes a long time to bring requested item and lastly, the food takes forever. Also I really don’t appreciate whole kitchen staff going on lunch break filling up 2 tables in the corner (12-15 staff with hairnets) while I wait for my order. Until the crew went back to the kitchen I didn’t get my order.

Would like to give it another try in few month hoping that management will make improvements but for the time being, I’m going other local restaurants like Toks where they value customer’s time and care about customer experience.

Mi experiencia en Las Alitas fue excepcional en todos los aspectos. Desde el momento en que entré, fui recibido por un personal sumamente profesional y atento, que se esforzó por hacer que mi visita fuera memorable.

El ambiente del restaurante era acogedor y relajado, perfecto para disfrutar de una buena comida y unas bebidas refrescantes. Hablando de bebidas, debo mencionar que tenían una selección impresionante, desde cócteles clásicos hasta creaciones únicas que realmente sorprendieron mi paladar.

Pero lo que realmente se llevó el premio fueron las alitas. ¡Sin lugar a dudas, las mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo! Estaban perfectamente sazonadas, crujientes por fuera y tiernas por dentro. La variedad de sabores era amplia, y cada una era una explosión de sabor.

En resumen, "las alitas " no solo ofrece deliciosas alitas y bebidas, sino que también cuenta con un servicio de primera clase. Definitivamente volveré para probar más de sus platillos y disfrutar de la experiencia completa una vez más. ¡Altamente recomendado para todos los amantes de las alitas y la...

Es un hecho que cada sucursal es diferente, sin embargo hay factores que se repiten principalmente en la comida. Ya que el servicio regularmente es bueno, no digo muy bueno mucho menos excelente porque en ocasiones tardan mucho en servir la comida y aunque uno ya está desesperado por comer no se acercan a mencionarte porqué tardan o el tiempo que falta por traer la comida.

En cuanto a comida en específico está sucursal, estos son mis siguientes comentarios:

Papás a la Francesa: Suelen servirlas medianamente "crudas" (medio-fritas). Y a diferencia de otras en otros restaurantes, les falta "sabor" (poca condimentación).

Hamburguesas/Sándwiches: Son mi platillo favorito, sin embargo, he tenido la mala fortuna de que con excepción de la carne (pollo/res) está muy seco, le falta algo que la haga más "jugosa".

No obstante, siempre es una opción en el repertorio de restaurantes, ya que a pesar de algunos factores que merecen una mejora, hay otros restaurantes que está por debajo de la calidad...
