I discovered this gem of a place a few years ago. It is my regular stop now when heading to the Airport and/or beyond. Also, after trying several places around town, I am convinced that their quality and service is worth the trip too, so concluded it's worth the drive. It's only a few kms from downtown. Mainly locals. Unassuming roadside location with an extra terrace in the back. Parking in front and additional parking in rear. The owner is a wonderful attentive host. My favorite restaurant in all Cancun! We walked up to this hike in the wall in the side of the road and were immediately greeted by smiles and the wonderful Salvador, who spoke English and stayed around after his work hours just for us. We ordered the ceviche was a huge amount and tons of fish, simply delicious fresh flavors. My favorite dish was the octopus tacos, the flavor was abundant with a hint of spice that kept my mouth watering. I also ate the Governor shrimp taco which was really good. The michelada was more authentic than anything else I’ve had. Service was superb and they even let us sample both kinds of ceviche before purchasing. This place was absolutely amazing. The proportions are great, the food is amazing, and the prices are great. The service was amazing Salvador was great, he helped explain the different styles for us and even brought us out samples so we could better understand the differences. The nayarit style Ceviche was great. The show stealer for me was the octopus tacos. I ended up ordering two because I enjoyed it so much.
