Aqua beach bar and Coyas restaurant — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Wow--we have eaten several meals here now (all great), but was SO impressed by the special menus for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day brunch. The food was exceptional--mix of traditional Mexican options and others for the holiday. Loved the chile relleno, gorgeous poblano pepper with tomato and bean sauces so flavorful they blew me away. The whole family agreed their mashed potatoes were the best we've ever had. Then a world class banana cream pie, and great fluffy waffles and eggs Benedict in the morning (perfect Hollandaise). None of which are on their regular menu--this team really went all out!!

The staff is super friendly and warm, always smiling and chatty, making the restaurant a fun place to be. They worked so hard to create a special Christmas experience, with cute decorations and festive table settings and live music, all while spending time working away from their families on the holiday. We were so surprised (expected to have a much more low-key Xmas), we really had an amazing time and are so grateful for the people who worked hard to make it happen.

Aside from Christmas, the regular food has also been excellent, you cannot beat the view/setting, and every person we've met at the restaurant, bar, and hotel has been a ray of sunshine. Can't...

Last night, we had a private party birthday celebration at Coya's Restaurant at Ventana Windsports. And wow, did they go all out to make it a special occasion! With the stunning balcony view of the ocean and Ceralvo Island, we sat at a beautifully set table with linens and adorned with flowers. Each plate had a stylishly- scripted menu that included pear salad as a starter followed by our choice of a shrimp, fish or chicken enchilada option. During the meal, the guests could not stop talking about how good the food was. This was all capped off by their signature dessert: a choice of banana cream pie or chocolate banana cream pie. Coyas balcony restaurant has stunning views of Ceralvo Island, the beach and the ocean. The ambiance is perfect for everyday and special occasions. The food is top notch, prepared fresh every meal, and beautifully presented with special touches. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the yummy desserts are special made on-site. The staff is professional; always attentive and considerate. We've been coming to Coyas for years, and they consistently provide excellent food and service.
