Baja Grill , La Ventana — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Found this place after googling places to watch football in LV. So glad I did! They had HH still going and even mentioned it to me with only 10 mins left, so I could take advantage of the 2 for 1 deal. They had many creative flavors that were 2 for 1. In a place where I feel they struggle to make great margs consistently (La Ventana) this place made solidly good from in a at a solidly good price. Now on to the food. Good options, great prices. I saw a few pork shank options, as a meat for tacos, braised, and with mole. I went for the mole one. As a chef, I feel they could have cooked the shank longer for that, almost falling off the bone tenderness. This was short of that, more like cut it off the bone, but wasn’t chewy or anything, just not falling off. Bit the mole sauce it was coated with was fabulous, and on point. Sides were solid, little corn, little fries, garlic bread. A GREAT plate of food for $12.50, like the best I’ve had in my short time here, so far. Ok, now the ambience, lots of TVs with the sound on. A vibe! Thoroughly enjoyed the pork shank with tamarind chipotle sauce. Large, tender and not something you'll find somewhere else in town. The burger was solid too! The caiprihina was an unexpected surprise, potent and authentic.

Prices, especially for drinks, are reasonable across the board and the service was super friendly. Loved the colorful environment and good lighting and the fact that they were playing goofy 80s MTV music videos was the cherry on top. This will definitely be one of our regular joints...

Brand new beach bar, as of Dec ‘19, family-run, catering to US/Canadian tourists. Full bar, beer & wine with inexpensive but very good margaritas. Inexpensive bar menu with tacos, hamburgers, wings, fries. Lots of TVs for sports, with movies playing other nights. I had the pork shank, which was like a huge turkey drumstick.
