Cafe Maria — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

I think this place wins the award for the worst food we’ve had in Baja so far. Not only was expensive, it was terrible quality! The “fresh” fish tasted like something out of a can. Taco Bell would have been a step up. And the icing on the cake was the chips and a small cup of pico de gallo for $200 pesos(about $12.50 US) Stay far away...

I love food. I’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in North America, and this holds a spot in my top three. I fear Cafe Maria is under-appreciated locally. I wish I hadn’t eaten here on my last night in town or I would have come every night.

Excellent food, attentive service, good value

the snapper with mango sauce and salad - best fish I have had in the city.

Pasta with prawns and side salad. A usually small eater devoured a big plate. Excellent
