WOW that's some fresh and incredibly delicate fish! These gentlemen know what they're doing. There's only four tables and all were occupied when we arrived, which was a first for us on this trip where most restaurants have been very quiet. We knew that was a good sign, so we asked another couple if they would share their table and made some friends. The dining room is part of the kitchen, so you can watch the whole preparation, and the menu changes daily so it is recited, not written. The drink list is short and sweet but the Mexican IPAs we had were great. The food is amazing - excellent quality, well paced for sharing plates, inventive, fresh, and simply the best quality of fish we have had in all our trips to Mexico. We are not picky, but we're big foodies and these guys really showed us how absolutely perfect an unpretentious establishment can be. Bravo to this team, and please never stop doing what you're doing. We'll be back tomorrow! PS - super cute bathroom ;)

We had the most unbelievable dinner at Guayaba Tostada tonight, we were really blown away. The place is quaint, unassuming, but you quickly realize that you're there to experience a true artisan at work. The chef has the menu on a small notepad, he walks you through the fresh selections of the day and sets to work right in front of you. This is fine dining quality food, prepared with precision and really fresh ingredients. The flavor combinations are so creative. The sashimi was done with a sesame oil on a light guacamole meets pesto base that was just unreal. The aguachilles with fresh shrimp had pickled celery, bright flavors, really on point. We were just amazed and felt like we stumbled upon the best place in town. We're already planning to go back as I don't think there is another place like it in town.

An unexpected gem in La Ventana. The ceviche was fantastic, well-presented and well-rounded in flavor and texture. Unexpected surprises were masterfully prepared fish and chips (move over toto frito) and a yummy egg-roll sized chimichanga. The location is cute and intimate and prices approachable, especially given the quality. We'll definitely be back often!
