I was told that I had to try their chilaquiles(I'm a chilaquiles addict) I drove out there in the afternoon so I figured I would try the enchiladas suizas instead. My companion ordered the beef soup. The enchiladas were so so. There was very little flavor in the sauce. The beef soup was terrible. It's one of those soups that needs to cook for hours...and really concentrate and develop the flavors as well as tenderize the tough cuts of meat. This broth was reminiscent of dirty dish water...completely devoid of flavor and the meat was tough. She left 90% of it in the bowl. I am an eternal optimist(to a fault)... so I came out today(yes, one day later lol) because I had to try their chilaquiles. Let me tell you...night and day difference. Flavorful sauces, fresh fried tortilla strips, the chicken was grilled (which was a welcome change over the standard boiled chicken breast). My companions plate was huge, diverse, and very tasty. Most gringos in Mexico are used to that but this is just disgusting.
