Overall 1 star experience considering the absence of value, but 1 star added because the staff was so willing to help. We entered and were greeted warmly. There were so many staff lining our route to the table we felt like royalty reviewing the troops. The raw steaks and other meats were displayed in refrigerated cases in the lobby. The atmosphere was attempting elegant, but the 100 TV screens were the ruination of the vibe. Our friends watched boxing or wrestling - not sure- during their dinner. Our party was shocked at the screens disturbing a high end restaurant. We have enough screens in our lives! The decor was 21st century hard surfaces with dining nooks lined with pretty drapery. Now for the action… we were a party of 8. The table was so wide and the restaurant so loud that we had to shout at each other to have conversation. It was almost hilarious. Again, the royal facade but functionally clumsy. We were offered "still or sparkling" water. I do not drink alcohol so I said sparkling. I was poured 1/2 of a tiny tumbler glass of water. Everyone else had "still" water which also came out of a bottle. The was the first of many, many expensive and low value moments this evening. The water was 219 pesos or $11.80 and all I got was half a glass. $55 for water. The cocktails were served in half-full martini glasses and cost $18. My hub had 4 martini's and my alcohol detector brain did not activate. The wine person came and took the order for half our table. She didn't realize that others may want to order wine. We had to get her back to take a wine order for our side of the table. When the wine came, it had turned (vinegar). The wine person said she doesn't normally do this, but she replaced it with another wine which was not much better according my friends. Next, the bread. It was delicious and comes with a dip. No butter is included so we asked for it. The octopus was good. The entrees were between $65 and $395 dollars. Haha. I can't believe it. The ribeye was such bad quality that my friends asked me to discuss it with the waiter because I speak Spanish. When I told him it was bad he sent over a manager. The manager nodded and listened but did NOTHING. He didn't offer to take it off the bill, nor did he offer a free dessert, nor did he give a darn at all. When the bill came, my friends decided to let it go and call it experience. They paid around $100 for one poor quality steak. The creamed spinach was some cooked spinach with cream poured over it. My gourmet friend was laughing. Creamed spinach is an increaipie aisn witn Dits OT garlic and onion in a cream sauce - in other places! Not here at Tiger's, it was very expensive steamed spinach. We had Caesar salad and the papadelle short rib dish. The salad was good but not enough dressing. The pasta was stuck together in clumps and covered in a small amount of red sauce and tiny bits of short rib... Not one full bite of meat. For $70, it was not good. Again poor value. The servers were plentiful but untrained. That was no problem. They were all so nice and trying to please. They probably thought we were a bunch of dumb tourist people who overspent in this ridiculous restaurant. If that's what they thought, they were right. Luckilv. we haven't bought into the cult of Diamanté so we...
Read moreFirst time eating here. Long time members at Diamante and was looking forward to trying out the new restaurant during our stay. Ambience is nice and service was excellent for our meal. Prices are high as expected at a high end restaurant in Cabo. My wife and I split a delicious starter of Local Vegetables as opposed to salads. She had the local fresh fish which was farm raised. Very white and presented well but actually very bland (she used the chimichurri sauce from my steak to add taste). My son and I split the 32 ounce cowboy steak special which came with two family size sides. We chose mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. Mashed potatoes were nothing special. Brussels sprouts were excellent. Cowboy steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Béarnaise sauce and chimichurri sauce came with it, but neither were needed to enhance the steak. Piece of cheesecake for dessert which was average. Overall, we liked the place and would go back again. It is in essence a very high-end sports bar as TVs are all around showing various sporting events. Staff were...
Read moreOne of the best experiences we have had on property at Diamante and Cabo in general after 6+ trips. Sushi level very comparable to Nobu, but priced more fairly. Senor Nelson & Senor Daniel were our servers and they did not disappoint. Both had incredible recommendations, were extremely polite, and provided some great conversation as well. The cocktails were off the chart, I would highly reccomend trying the Worm burner. The Scallop caviar dish was decadent and beautifully balanced. The Wagyu Tomahawk was cooked perfectly and had a great seasoning level, the lamb was so juicy and tender. The only thing that will throw you is the fact you are in a “sports bar” style atmosphere that has a lot of TVs, but the food and service level makes you feel like you are in an extremely high end fine dining establishment. 10/10 reccomend can’t wait to...
