Bodega 8 was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

We were seated in the beautiful side room with the bar. Was thankful for the menu in English and the waiter who was very patient with us!

The mango mezcalrita and the jalepeno mezcalrita were both so fresh.

The meal started with a couple of plates brought to the table…the homemade chips and salsa were amazing, mild but very flavorful. The beans with the pork were excellent as well.

We ordered a number of dishes to share. The Ahi Tuna tostada and Don Bento melted cheese pot with chorizo both great.

The shrimp quesadilla taco(La Chorrida) and the octopus pineapple tacos (Zarandeado) were the top dishes of the night and clear stand out. Absolutely delicious.

The Chorizo sauce & Shrimp sopa and Bodega Tacos (bone marrow steak tacos) were both very good.

The Shrimp Esmeralda molcajete bowl was stunning – fried cheese, potatoes and shrimp with a green cilantro sauce. So many great flavors.

The cost was so low for the amazing amount of food we enjoyed. I look forward to my next trip to the area to return to this...

It was the first time eating at this establishment. I was surprised to hear from the waiters that many of the beef items were not available. Maybe perhaps because it was a weekday? I don’t know, but this is the reason why I am giving it a four star rating, because they didn’t have the beef item that I wanted to try. I opted for a chicken dinner. The chicken dinner was amazingly tasty. So were the sides that came along with my chicken plates. Everything was great, the only exception was the missing menu items. I will stop by again on a weekend and see if they have the beef menu items available then, and I will update this review upon having the beef plates.
