La Perla Escondida — Restaurant in Baja California

Very friendly staff. There is a singer that will ask you if you'll like to hear a song, sing it and then charge you $5 for it without letting you know of the fee first. We were offered a courtesy ceviche and margaritas to go in there in the parking lot and they were good but not great. We hesitantly ordered shrimp cocktails and I'm sorry to say they didn't taste good no matter how much ketchup and sauces we added. The restaurant is set on a cliff by the sea and has a great view but they built a unfinished porch onto the cliff to extend the restaurant and it doesn't feel safe on it. You can feel the vibration of the ocean and I felt it was going to collapse any minute so I moved my family onto the floor part of the restaurant. I got to meet the owner and he is very friendly and likes to sing and entertain the guests. My only advise to him would be to finish reconstructing the porch and make it safe and professional, invest in fly zappers so the place is not full of flies and most importantly invest in reconstructing the kitchen and make it hygene friendly which was the reason we were hesitant to order food. Excellent food, excellent service great price, do not judge a book for his cover, this Restaurant/ place to eat has great service and the the food flavors are definitely better than some restaurants that charge for the luxury, the view is great, despite the look in the entrance and the surrounding area, just clean the tables before you seat and use sanitizer to feel comfortable, the place doesn't look anything like a restaurant to be honest is very humbled but decent enough to eat a great meal. We paid for this sea food plate that has 3 types of shrimp, al ajo, ala diabla, and empanizados 6ostiones,2 jaibas 2 conchas de mar a la mexicana, 2 ceviches,mojarra frita on a bed o fresh lettuce tomatoes,onions, and the salsas very deliciously hot, 2 margaritas and 5 beers and a extra shot $78 dollars...

I’m sorry but I don’t understand how your people are even referring people to this place it’s freaking nasty. We went there and the hostess was very unprofessional and also we order spicy shrimp tacos and they chop up the shrimp so they don’t have to serve you multiple pieces not only that but I also ordered a Molcajete which was also not going to be honest with you not even the 50% discount card that they were offering me to come back will make me want to come back to this place I’d rather drive a little bit further to...
