Pros: The food tastes great ! Flavors, texture and appearance of food are mexican intentense ! Probably the best in town and others around. Consistently in every item they serve. Everything tastes fresh. Portions are not big, nor small. They are just enough to satiate, or satisfy a 6' tall average build male. They serve a bunch of tortillas, not just 3 like most restaurants do. A cup of butter is in the center of the table along with onion and cilantro. The area is neatly and originally designed (some decorative items do not belong to the era the place is representing, though). Very clean. Customers keep showing up as soon as others head out. Super friendly staff. Coffee refills for free.

Cons: Believe it or not, on 2024 they DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS ! Which is not only EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT but odd at the same time. It does not makes sense a business with that amount of customers and activity not offering the flexibility of payment with credit cards, forcing customers to bring cash to pay everytime. A complete deterrent in my case. Also believe it or not also, they do not have/serve orange juice ! The reason given was that nobody was having it, or requesting it. Hard to understand as having at least a bottle of OJ, or some oranges ready is easy, should someone ask for it. Even if they happen to go bad it will be negligible compared with the sales they seem to be having. They have just a few breakfast options. The area/neighborhood the restaurant is located in, is far from glamorous, (Colonia Alamitos, right next to Sec. School #18 Magisterio). Pues hoy pedí una birria y no estaba nada buena, por más cosas que le puse nunca me gusto, estaba muy fría, pero en fin, mi papá pidió una carne en su jugo y no le gustó por que estaba fatal de fría, dijo el mesero no se lo puedo cambiar por que ya le puso limón y no se puede regresar a la olla? Dije o por Dios? Este piensa regresarla? Que mal, 3 veces pedí que me trajeran tortillas a diferentes meseras y nunca me las trajeron 😤, a la 4ta ves me las trajo un mesero, el mismo que no me quiso cambiar la carne en su jugo que estaba salada, pero todavía me dice, se la tengo que cobrar aunque no se la coma 😤, el servicio fue pésimo, tanto empleado y no se ponen las pilas, dije como se nota que no esta el dueño, por que cuando esta? Son muy serviciales, prefiero ir mejor al otro que al de la Alamitos, la neta nunca me había pasado esto, no me volvieron a dar ganas de volver, si salí muy molesta, no me gusta hablar mal de un lugar pero esta ves se lo ganaron, varias veces pedí la cuenta y no me la traían, solo quedábamos 4 mesas, faltaba 40 minutos para cerrar y ellos estaban más enfocados en juntar las sillas y dejar listo, todavía se le ocurre al mesero preguntarme si le voy a dejar propina😱😤?
