Rocas Del Valle — Restaurant in Baja California

DO NOT BOOK HERE! THE WORKERS ARE ON STRIKE AND ARE BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE! I arrived at this place in order to make a reservation in person and had an opportunity to ask the workers why they were striking. Much to my dismay they told me that the people in charge lack any consideration for their workers and the pay was horrible. Although this place is visually appealing they left much to be desired and are obviously taking advantage of the locals and exploiting cheap labor. Without the power to unionize, this is sadly the case for many residents of the valle de Guadalupe area who work in many of the surrounding wineries, hotels, restaurants, etc. My wife and I ultimately found a better place to stay at through airbnb and will definitely never seek this...

It is a shame beautiful place but such a bad experience. Watch out! 1. They charge you 50 pesos for ironing each of your cloths and refuse to lend you an iron. 2. When going to the restaurant be sure to bring money because you cannot charge the check it to the room because it operates separated. 3. They charge the firewood for the public fire 200 pesos per straw of 4 woods. 4. The water does not warm you bathe with lukewarm water 5 minutes and then you frizzed, the hotel is new and they do not know how to fix it. 5. We were recommended to take a Uber, (friend of the manager) who ended up not to be a Uber. Instead of charging 280 pesos to the destination he wanted to charge 2500. 6. You wake up with hammers at 7 am because they are still under construction. They take 900 pesos deposit and until today I have not received back yet. We try to complain and they were very rude with us. It is very sad that such a nice hotel will make you have a bad stay.

Lástima de tan hermoso lugar y tan mala experiencia. Abusados! 1. Te cobran 50 pesos por prenda para planchar y se niegan a prestarte una plancha. 2. El restaurante tienes que traer dinero por que no puedes cargarlo al cuarto que por que es separado. 3. Te cobran la leña para la fogata pública 200 pesos por paja de 4 maderas. 4. El agua no calienta te bañas con agua tibia 5 minutos y luego hela, el hotel es nuevo y no saben cómo solucionarlo. 5. Nos recomendaron un Uber, que terminó se no Uber y en lugar de 280 pesos al destino quiso cobrar 2500. 6. Te despiertan los martillazos a las 7 am por que siguen construyendo el hotel. Al final me cargaron 900 pesos de depósito y hasta la fecha no me lo han devuelto. Muy triste que tan bonito hotel te hagan pasar una...

AVOID BOOKING THIS HOTEL. THEY ARE CURRENTLY ON STRIKE. I booked a cabin here for check-in April 29, 18 and check out the 30 through Expedia. I tried calling the hotel to confirm late arrival. The call doesn't go through or appears to drop immediately. I was very disappointed, I have heard nothing but good reviews, however, I had no warning from the hotel or Expedia. My husband were left with no other options and ending driving back that night. Which is a nightmare to cross the TJ border on a Sunday night. Definitely...
