Tacos El Poblano — Restaurant in Baja California

This place is celebrating 50 years this year. My my father introduced me to their taco stand back in 1974, which was practically across the street from their current location, Getting asada tacos was a family ritual.

I hadn't been here to El Poblano in decades, and Tijuana has grown by leaps and bounds, but one bite into their tacos was a trip back through time. I remember standing in front of the cook ordering a couple of tacos at time, as we ate, so they were never cold and the bill at the end. That's not the case anymore, it was super busy, but these tacos tasted exactly as I remembered....They maybe a little expensive, but the truth is that I have not tasted asada tacos like this anywhere else. Most places in California that I've eaten cook their meats on a flat iron... The wood grilled asada meat at El Poblano, i believe, sets them apart. These were the asada tacos I've been searching for closer to home.

The asada taco were made fast. Before I knew it, they were ready to be eaten.

The location has its own patio, where you can sit or stand by a bar to enjoy your food.

The best tacos in Tijuana, need I say more? The staff are awesome and professional, very chill man. The way they prepare the food with gusto and the flavor of the tacos is just divine, chef's kiss. For sure if anyone is visiting Tijuana this is the go-to spot for tacos. Everytime my family and I go to see relatives in Tijuana we always stop by for some tacos since I was a boy this place continues to serve the best tacos in Tijuana. Well if it wasn't for the fact that they more then often try to over charge me I would have given them 5 stars. The tacos are great and delicious. Parking can be difficult it they do have a person who helps you park. ( don't forget to give him a tip if he helps you) I come here a lot and I love the food just keep track of you total and make sure you know your prices and it is best if you pay with pesos and not dollars.
