A basic taco restaurant that has grown to serve a pretty broad menu catering to locals and American tourists alike. The prices are very reasonable, the setting very basic, but comfortable. The food is basic, but tasty and the owner/chef will make you whatever he can, even if it isn't on the menu.
Walnut Grove Jr. is a junior because the first restaurant was in the United States. Around 2013, when the US restaurant closed, this one in Rosarito opened up. After school hours there is typically a student working for extra money and the owner, Pedro Hernandez is friendly and often found sharing a table with his befriended local customers.
There is a well known all you can eat buffet served on Saturday and Sunday that is definitely worth a try. The WiFi is free and quick. If you're in Rosarito and are tired of the perfectly appointed higher priced locations, drive a little south and give this dive-taco shop a try. You'll be supporting a pleasant member of the local community and experience some tasty bites along the way.
