CALAKMUL SEA FOOD — Restaurant in Campeche

This is a well known local seafood restaurant “chain”. They have a few locations. It is a restaurant with consistency and what locals like to go out to eat. Here is where opinions differ. Many people like trying local restaurants with local food, and I do also. But I also like a little variety and experimenting with flavors. Almost every “local seafood restaurant “ in the Yucatán Peninsula is the same. There are all the same plates, filet with butter, filler breaded, filet with garlic etc. nice but nothing different than the other 1000 local restaurants yes, here they do have the famous local crab which is not found outside of Campeche in lost seafood restaurants, so...

My two companions and I arrived at 6p with a 7p closing. There were no other patrons. We did not get a sense of "please hurry" Our waitress was vere gracious and attentive. The menu is 95% regional seafood. We had a variety of individual fish dishes. I had pescado veracruzano. The sauce was wonderful. There was a side dish of mixed vegetables. They were cold. Hoy si fue un servicio horrible primero fuimos a la palapa Calakmul y que no había camarones que todavía los iban a mandar pedir al otro restaurante que se encuentra enfrente de la Cruz Roja y como lo conocemos llegamos al restaurante y efectivamente ahi si habían camarones y los sirven a 2 personas y las otras 2 pedimos poc-chuc y como 3 horas después todavía no nos lo servían ya las personas que pidieron camarones terminan de comer y el poc-chuc nada de que llegan y vemos que pasan y pasan pedidos y pedidos y pregunto y me dicen que en ese restaurante les dan preferencia a los pedidos y no a los comensales que estamos esperando nuestra comida pues varios clientes se pararon y se fueron yo también quería salirme pero la otra persona tenía mucha hambre y hay seguimos esperando aparte la ensalada de camarón le hizo daño a la persona el poc-chuc súper agrio y la Jamaica no era agua fresca sino preparada de polvo HORRIBLE TACHE PARA CALAKMUL...
