Came to Tapanco with high hopes of finding a decent eatery in Saltillo. The ambiance is top notch, service is impeccable. We had a couple of Nigiris to start off including a Tatoaba Nigiri which is the best bite we had here tonight. Along with the Nigiris we tried the Shrimp Empanada with, in this critics opinion, the best Chimichurri in the city. For the main course we had the Roasted Octopus which was expertly cooked and well seasoned. I myself would have added more freshness to the plate since it was accompanied with scalloped potatoes and made the overall dish too heavy when seafood should be lighter in general. The Fettuccine Alberto which consists of a creamy white sauce and lobster with fresh parmesan and parsley, was the disappointment of the night. The lobster was over cooked, the cream sauce was not made correctly as the butter cut out as seen on the picture attached. The overall taste was very strong, in any lobster based pasta, you must find a way to balance the strong taste of lobster as to not overpower the entire dish. Other than that, a very pleasant dinner and one of the best experiences, and leagues above the so called best of the city Mochomos, Don Artemio and the other pretenders...

I’ve heard this place has a lot of tradition, so we were expecting delicious food on a Sunday afternoon. We had an early lunch and they were already out of the ribeye tacos. Skip the parsley appetizer. It was odd. The best part I think was the margaritas (ate de membrillo flavor), ambiance and dessert. The tacos were just OK and a bit cold. The service was not great. The server kept forgetting stuff we ordered or brought the plate to the...
