I am back in Saltillo Mexico !!
Very friendly, cheerful, and helpful staff. Very clean and attractive place that serves great food in a fun atmosphere. Lighting is perfect; muted without being at all dark, yet as bright as the happy colors all around. They even have fun seating for the swingers!
I had a VERY long and challenging travel day, on the road for nearly 14 hours and ended my day on a great note at Il Giordino. Richie greeted me, made me feel sincerely welcome, and then made excellent recommendations for a long overdue meal.
I settled on the “Philliberto Steak Sandwich“ and fries. I grew up in the shadow of Philadelphia and know well what an authentic Philly Cheese Steak is. This sandwich is in the spirit of a “Philly” and comes with an au jus that is a nod toward a French Dip, but it’s better than that… and any good cheese steak deserves fries.
I would absolutely recommend this place for individuals, families, and groups! It’s within an easy three-minute stroll from the front door of the...
Read moreI just love it! First, the place is cozy and has a minimalist nice decoration. The terrace is big and well ventilated. The service is good and people is attentive although they changed our waitress our food came almost right with a misshapen with a dish that came whit chile. Beware all the salsas are spicy do not believe them when they say they are not spicy if you don't eat spicy food. Prices are good and think you are gonna spend near $30 to $40 USD per person if you go till the dessert but it is worth. Food is delicious, if you like goat cheese the ravioli are a must same with the red fruits salad. Risotto amazing, a little salty for me but the flavour was so good. Coffee is good, the expresso is amazing and desserts are good. We eat there and was so good we came back for breakfast, again good! The salsa martajada is delicious. It became one of my...
Read moreFood is alright, but portion is very little and expensive, their coffee contains more milk than coffee so had to order more for the caffeine boost. We ordered egg benedicts. My friend ordered egg benedict with bacon and mine was with salmon. Egg benedict with salmon is more expensive, but how come my friend gets all the salad for free, and there is none for me? So I asked why my plate only has bread, salmon slice and egg without any salad. They said they will give me a separate plate of veggies, which included half a tomato, half an avocado and a hand-ful of arugula and they charged me like 110 pesos. I know Saltillo has better options for other restaurants, so never...
