La Pergola Restaurante — Restaurant in Colima

This is an update that puts a smile on my face~ The entire demeanor of this place changed overnight…for the better…we are there nearly every morning while in Manzanillo, and could not be happier.

The food is consistently excellent, as is the service, and as I indicated in my original review, the birds (outback) make La Pergola an extremely memorable experience. The pizza - which is only available in the afternoon/evening-is certainly worth recommending.

The info is for the restaurant, not the hotel. We will go back. We went in the middle of the day during the week, so no one was in there. An empty restaurant feels weird. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions. The food was good and fast. The chef came to our table which always feels connected. I will advice the powers-that&be to lose the "American-sourced" elevator music. I felt like I should have been at La Marina . Spotify or other streaming services are worth investing. My sister and I went there 1 week ago and it was terrible. Our wine came with cork bits floating in the glass. My lasagna was edible but my sisters pasta with chicken and asparagus was awful. The asparagus was rancid and the sauce sour. When we complained we were told everything was fine. I ended up sharing my lasagna and the other dish was left uneaten.
