I was willing to visit this restaurant for a while but it wasn't what I was looking for.
The Menu doesn't have much variety, if you're going fro breakfast it's OK. The prices are fair for the breakfast menu for the rest of it are a bit pricey and not worth at all. If you're nearby Bretona's has similar food and portions are better, similar prices but better and varied choices.
We ended ordering a Hamburger it was good not like the description on the menu but good.
I didn't like 2 things about the staff we met a Lady that I dunno if it was the owner but came to our table asking to explain us the menu..... And I was really uncomfortable with that cuz there was really nothing to explain. But I noticed she does that there were other costumer near us and she just came over and took something from their table while they were chatting... It was kinda rude. They waiter was nice but at first I didn't know he was one cuz he was dressed casual, he came so many times to ask if everything was OK that at first I was like "OK how nice" then started to be annoying...I asked for the Bill twice cuz the waiter was just walking around after the first time. He didn't asked me how much I wanted to give him as for the tip, so I had to tell him to add it but again didn't ask for an amount, he added what he wanted I mean if I wanted to gave him more he...
Read moreJust tried to eat here but had to leave. As an older guy, I prefer eating with maximum distance between tables (UPDATE: I meant max distance between myself and other customers, not between the actual tables), especially in a place like this where most employees are maskless (UPDATE: I don’t remember if the waitstaff had masks, as I left rather abruptly, but I went to the back of the restaurant where I saw a table far away from other clients, but it was by the bar, and all 3 employees by/behind the bar were maskless). I chose the 1 table where I felt safe enough, and was told I had to move. They said they had a reservation, but it was 4 o’clock, and there’s just no way they had a reservation arriving before 5. The truth is almost certainly that they just didn’t like that a single wanted a 4 top, which I’m sensitive to during peak hours, but, again, this was 4 PM. Anyway, poor safety protocols, plus the excuse making that in all likelihood involved lying to me, and no thanks. Plenty of other places...
Read moreFound this place on Instagram and instantly fell in love! The decoration, atmosphere, and lighting are absolutely perfect — it truly feels like a home away from home. The food was beyond delicious, and Berny was amazing at listening to the flavors we enjoy. Based on that, he gave us the best recommendations — from drinks to the main dishes. We ordered chilaquiles verdes with cochinita pibil and chilaquiles negros with cecina and a sunny-side-up egg. To accompany them, we had a mojito mocktail and a cafecito oaxaqueño. At first bite and sip, all flavors were impactful. Berny was so attentive and set such a great vibe from the moment we walked in. We’ll definitely be coming...
