Not a total lost
We went there mainly to hang out and the place is really nice and it has great ambiance to hangout, however the service was not good. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated, which gave me hope of what was to come. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone asked us for our drinks. They brought us our drinks and then they simply forgot to come back and take our order for the rest of the meals. We were having a meaningful conversation and really enjoying our company so that we didn't not mind at first, but after 20 minutes of seating there, I had to get someones attention and asked if we could please place an order. After we finished eating, we asked for a bottled water and again the waiter simply forgot, we didn't make a fuss, we simply paid and left. The food was mediocre, I mean it was not bad. Although I can think of several other places that would have better food, better pricing and better service....I am willing to give this place another try, and I will order something different. I have had bad experiences before at other places and then gone a second time and the place redeemed it self..
**Tip: Don't expect the Tacos Gobernador to be shrimp only. This place serves their Gobernador tacos with thick pork belly. Which is not bad for those who like or are able to eat pork. My wife has had these tacos in many different places and is always just shrimp. She didn't expect them to have pork, which she is...
Read moreThis brewery is located in downtown San Luis Postosi which makes it desirable in that you are then able to walk about the area. I went there with a group of 5 and I was disappointed in the service and food. It took the waiter a long time to come to take our drink order and food order, in fact we had to call him over more than one time throughout the stay. Once we ordered our food, it took such a long time for the food to arrive. I noticed that others , who had arrived after us were getting their food. Finally when the food arrived, it was cold- everyone's food was cold. I had to ask them to take it back and warm it up. After I complained, I would have thought the staff would be more attentive to us or tried to remedy their error, but no - staff never retruned until I had to go and ask for the check.
The food was okay. It's your typical bar food. It wasn't great, but at the same time it wasn't bad.
Upon my return to San Luis I would rather...
Read moreThis place had excellent potential. It is located in a historic district and a beautiful building. The décor is nice. Unfortunately the service isn't so great, prices are on the moderate to high side and for an establishment known for their craft beer, it wasn't very good.
Their beer menu (not published online anywhere) was about 20% local, 40% common Belgian, 20% English and 20% macro. Of the local beers they heavily represent La Legendaria Brewery whose beers aren't great. After asking the waiter for three different beers they had on the menu he told me they were out of I settled on a Judas IPA. The pour was a quarter foam and the beer was pretty bad.
On the plus side the food was above average. We ordered a cheese platter and pan maceta (popover served in a flower pot with cheese and chorizo)
The rooftop seating is nice as others mentioned but it gets very crowded and since it's outside people are smoking. They do have live...
