Trino's is off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle of Centro. Located in the outskirts of La Lejeona, it is close to town but it is almost like dining out in the campo, a cute little restaurant with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

We visited for the first time at the recommendation of a friend. We arrived a couple of minutes early and they opened promptly at 1:00 pm. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our choice of table. Our server quickly took our drink order and presented the menu, which was on a large chalk board. While we figured out what we wanted, we were served tortilla chips along with some delicious refried beans.

The first thing I noticed about the menu is that they offered various regional dishes, including some from northern Mexico, so from Oaxaca, and at least one from the Yucatan. So many choices!

My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas verde and commented that they were some of the best she has ever had. Visually , the dish was stunning. I tried a bite and had to agree that they were indeed fantastic.

I ordered the panuchos yucatecan, corn tortillas tooped with refried black beans, pork pibil, and oickled red onions. It was a perfect blend of flavors and it made me reminisce of the times we spent in Merida. I loved the panuchos.

Service was excellent, our drinks were refilled when necessary, our server checked on us several times, and we were made to feel like valued customers.

The prices were excellent, very fair the the quality and quantity of food served.

We will definitely...

To the moment we arrived we knew it would be a magical experience being greeted by Oskar, the owner! This is a completely family owned and run restaurant which is delightful. They are all so lovely and professional from the moment you arrive they want you to experience something special. Tucked back up in a residential area. It can be hard to find but well worth the trip. You feel as if you entered a secret garden with wonderful treats in every direction that you look from plants to art to lovely construction of Casita, the Banos, outdoor dining in the gardens, open air kitchen, surrounded by nature and all the plants. Oskar immediately explain they just had a children’s cooking class and they were cooking fresh tortillas as he escorted us over and handed each one of us a fresh one right off the grill with fresh cream salsa roll it up and eat it right there. It was so yummy and fresh. The entire experience is absolutely fantastic, the food is completely fresh flavorful and delightful with every dish we ordered. Menu varies with each season so that you get the freshest of ingredients. Oskar’s wife came by to visit for a moment as she was headed out, then we meet Oskar’s father who is our server and his mother is in the kitchen it’s a family affair, everyone has smiles and are all greeting you & delighted you have come. From the drinks to the food we just kept enjoying the moments and actually it was so relaxing didn’t want to leave. We will...

What a wonderful experience! Trino is family owned and run by the most hospitable people. The recipes are authentic from one of the owners and it shows! They make each menu choice daily and you can really tell there's a lot of love and care put into what they create. I've had the privilege to try their local white fish stuffed with julienne vegetables. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was like a hot knife cutting through butter. The most tender, flaky fish I think I've ever had. On the second night, I tried their enmoladas. The mole sauce in this dish is out of this world and they serve it with the most tender chicken breast. I'm pretty picky about chicken as I only prefer white meat so this dish was a 10/10. I also need to mention that their prices are insanely reasonable and definitely do not speak to the quality of their food! The outdoor space is so peaceful and relaxing. Full of greenery and nature. If you're reading this review, please visit this local, family run business. You will not regret it! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, I was to involved enjoying the food. But the pictures that do appear in other reviews are very accurate! Thank you TRINO for unforgettable dining...

Trino is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is beautiful with a charming outdoorsy vibe, surrounded by plants that make it feel fresh and inviting. They also have a cozy indoor space, but the outdoor setting is where the magic happens. The food is outstanding—authentic, beautifully presented, and perfectly priced. You can tell a lot of love goes into every dish. I love that the menu changes every week, making each visit a new experience. The owner, Rubin, is very passionate and that really made our experience memorable with his warm hospitality. The restaurant is incredibly clean, and you can even see how immaculate the kitchen is, which speaks volumes about their standards. Trino is definitely a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!
