Bové — Restaurant in Guanajuato

Well, I am living since 10 years in San Miguel de Allende, and up to some time ago, I loved to have breakfast here, food was excellent, Service fair, and all milk products had a very good taste. Now, after not having been there for some time, and thanks to my good experience from the past, I invited my visiting parents and my family to this place, still thinking that it was as good as I was used to . . . .

SURPRISE: IN THE SAME MOMENT YOU LIKE TO EAT WITH 5 OR MORE GUESTS THERE, THEY REALLY ASK 13% EXTRA TO YOUR BILL !!!!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES, READING THIS STATEMENT ON THE CARD. ASKING THE RESPONSIBLE LADY, SHE TOLD: YES, THIS IS AN EXTRA TIP FOR THE RESTAURANT . . . . Sorry, in all of my life, and nearly worldwide, I am used to decide on my own how much TIP I am willing to give. Also, YOU REALLY CHARGE A GROUP OF 5 OR MORE AN EXTRA 13 % ????????????????????? CAFE RAMA GIVES 10 % OF DISCOUNT TO GUESTS WITH MOTORCYCLES - THIS IS THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS !!!!!

SORRY, we changed the place at once, and because we have been hungry, just crossed the parking place, and had a (REAL GOOD) breakfast at the Italian, did not expect this - it really was good ;-)

BOVE: Also seeing the food on the neighbor table, it did not remember me at all to your former performance -baaah, smell and optics horrible !!!!!!

BOVE: The general appearance of your place lost a lot since my last visit, could you please at least keep your place and tables and presentation areas clean ??!!

Absolutely loved our meal at Bove! From start to finish, it was a warm and memorable dining experience. The green enchiladas were vibrant and full of flavor—zesty, perfectly balanced, and generously filled. Third time there so, I believe we gave them enough chances. The food was subpar, forgettable nothing stands out. The staff is VERY laid back, nice, but they seem unmotivated. Great location, good parking, little patio, the decor is okay. It is a shame they don't kick it up a notch, waste of good location. Prices are high only because the service was subpar and the food lacked a wow factor. Never have we seen more than 2 to 4 people there ( maybe that should have been a clue).
