We received our appetizers after our mediocre main course food, and the appetizers were not what we ordered, the chips with cheese had chips with beans and cheese, and the guacamole was bland and I can make better at home myself. We brought this to the servers attention when the "manager" interrupted and said that he would handle it. We had a party of six and the bill had gratuity added in which I stated was not correct because of the bad service and we will decide the very small tip to reflect this. The server came back with no changes to the bill and stated that the money had to get taken from his paycheck to cover. We paid the bill in full and confronted the manager, which he stated that he was not the owner and it was not his call about any of it. I stated that he should not have the money come from the server's paycheck it should be a business expense. I told him that we will never be coming back to this establishment for mediocre food and absolutely terrible service. At any point did we get apologized to or have the situation taken care of as a customer in regards to anything about customer service. Service overall was terrible and the food was horrible at best. This establishment needs to shut the doors and stop acting like they are a "great" service to this great community. We paid the bill in full so we could leave and never, and I mean never come back again. If you read this please go to any other restaurant and them them your money so you don't get treated the way that we did. We have never been treated so terrible by a business and hope that this gets rectified and corrected in the very...
Read moreMentiritas in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo was my second stop on the hunt for great tacos al pastor. The tacos were very good—though not quite on par with Sr. Taco—but the queso fundido was absolutely delicious. I’d recommend it, but be prepared for the very loud music. The vibe seems to channel a Miami-style bar, with music blasting inside and reverberating out, making conversation almost impossible. It’s clear they’re catering to a younger crowd, so keep that in mind if you’re...
Read moreThis is by no means a fine dining experience, but what it is, is a clean, open air cafe with very solid food. I had the shrimp Veracruz. It was great. The shrimp, large and plentiful. The sauce, thick and chock full of onion bell pepper and olives with steamed veggies ( broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and carrots) on the side. Served with mexican rice and grilled garlic bread. Very solid dish! My only complaint, the olives were not pitted, but very flavorful...
