This place has seriously awesome food! The Surf and Turf plate was delicious (you HAVE to try the shrimp!) but the best thing I had was the tortilla soup, it was incredible! It's not just your run-of-the-mill bowl of "appetizer soup" like you would expect at your standard restaurant. Instead, it is its own meal, and it's treated as such! It comes out to you on its own tray, and you get a bowl which has the homemade tortilla strips in the bottom, along with cheese, dried chilis, and some other dry ingredients. They bring the homemade broth (all ingredients are fresh and homemade) in its own little pitcher, and then there are chichirones (fried pork skins) and freshly cut cheese cubes on the side, and they add the broth once they bring it all to the table, totally dynamite! It's so good I'm getting hungry just describing it all again! The staff are all wonderfully friendly, the prices are extremely reasonable, and if you go early enough you should have no problem getting a table. A great family...

I love it here! Traditional ambiance and menu, with a variety of classical dishes, but pozole is the star. Served with lots of condiments and side dishes...The green pozole with radish, cilantro, jalapeno on top is so good. Great chips and salsa. The chicken tinga tostada is delicious, and my husband loved his steak tacos. THE BEST MEZCAL EVER!!! And we've tried dozens and dozens throughout Oaxaca and in Tequila duing our trip to Jalisco...the mezcal here is sooooo smooth. Shots are given as part of the pozole meal. We ordered two more, and then bought a half liter for just $160MX that we sipped on back at the hotel. A fun stop for cold beers and snacks or a full on meal, with lots of people watching on the streets and the kindest waitresses. THANK YOU LADIES. In the thick of town, a quick walk to many tourist shops where people are hand-making gifts, like abalone-encrusted hair clips and handwoven bags. A cute linen clothing...

Wow, this place was incredible. We walked in because so many locals were eating there and we were looking for casual good food. Everything was delicious, served promptly, with friendly service. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. We had melted cheese with chorizo app., Served with warm flour tortillas to tear up and wrap hunks of melted cheese in, so good. We then ordered the fried chicken taquitos, 4 crunchy, flavorful, covered with shredded lettuce and sour cream. We then got 2 chicken and one pork tamale, both were great, but the chicken ones were out of this world. Also ordered house margarita and we were served complimentary chips served with delicious green salsa and some kind of yummy smoky chipotle sauce. I woke up this morning wanting to eat this food again! Whole bill for the one margarita, one soda, two apps, and three tamales was $20 usd. Great food at a...

Worth the wait! We asked around for the best place for posole, understanding that it was a specialty in Zihuantanejo. A few recommendations came in for Restaurantes Any. There was a line when we ventured over for a dinner about 8:30, but the line moved fast and seating was organized. I was impressed by the presentation of the posole, you get your choice of red or green, and it comes with all the condiments on a large platter. My partner had the green mole enchiladas, which was a selection of three huge portions. I'm not a big fan of mole, but he seemed to enjoy them. They serve you chips and salsa to start to by the end of our meal, we were rightfully full. All in all, a pleasant experience.

It was the bright colors inside and out of this restaurant that first caught our attention while exploring Centro early in the day. We came back later for an early dinner and were so pleased with the experience. There were only 2-3 other tables being served, given the early hour, and we were seated and served quickly. The menu is pretty extensive, available in english and contained lots of photos of the dishes, good for us mexican food neophytes. We went with chilis rellenos, our new favorite dish, and a flank steak. Both delicious, but the chili relleno with ground beef was truly outstanding. Service was fast and friendly, prices were good. We will return on our next trip.

We stopped in this beautiful seaport during our holiday cruise and chose to just wander the streets. We walked by Anys and were immediately captured by the quaint atmosphere. After strolling around, we decided to return to Anys for lunch. The staff sat our party of 5 immediately and provided the menus in English. We ordered the queso fundido to share and it came with fresh flour tortillas - absolutely the best queso fundido I've ever had. We each ordered something different off the menu and greatly enjoyed every delicious bite. The staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
