La Hija del Capitan / Bar La Playa — Restaurant in Guerrero

We've been coming to Zihua for several years (family from MN & TX), and La Hija del Capitan and the Fishin Hole are two of our favorite hang out spots. We've become "regulars" and always enjoy our time at both places.

Tanya, Danny, Kenny, Felipe, Lalo, Max, Clemente & all others (unsure of the spelling for their names) always welcome us and make us feel great and part of the family.

The menu is mostly typical bar food, but everything we've tried has been delicious (we've had wings, ribs, roast beef sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, potato wedges, and many others). The beers are always very cold, and the drinks are well made.

Stop by their gift shop next door for some cool (and popular) t-shirts, koozies, and other items. And don't forget to check out the fun Thursday bingo at the Fishin' Hole...

We were looking for a place to watch the leafs and it was suggested to try the captain's daughters bar. We weren't disappointed. The place was filled with Canadians. It has lots of character. We went for the first time last night - on a recommendation - for the best hamburgers in town. We were not disappointed. Big cheeseburgers served hot along with hot and tasty fries.
