Picante Cruises — Attraction in Guerrero

HORRIBLE EXPERIENC!!!

I was planning my bachelorette party for May 2023, and they first told me they needed to check on the dates because they do the catamaran maintenance around the time I needed it for, so a week later they confirmed that it was available and I paid the deposit that same day. Many of my friends a family had already booked their flights and hotel, I also hired a DJ and order party favors for what I though was going to be an amazing bachelorette party. I reached out to them to let them know the exact number of people we were going to be and to pay the difference and the lady (Ana) called me right away to cancel. According to her there was a miscommunication between her and the crew/agency and they booked their maintenance appointment during the date I rented the catamaran for. She even mentioned that the crew is always doing things like this with out telling her and she is the one who needs to face the customers. (Seems like this is not the first time something like this happens)

Horrible customer service, if I have not reached out to her who knows when they were going to inform me of the cancelation. All they said was sorry and that there was nothing they could do about it. Between my friends/family and I, we have lost hundreds of dollars because there is not another catamaran/boat available that can fit...

Here's the review of the so-called snorkel/sail excursion trip that I wish someone would have written before I took my family on this trip.

This trip is billed as a snorkel and sail but it's really just a glorified booze cruise. We took our kids who were excited about snorkeling. We basically motored over to a snorkeling spot where there was about 45 minutes of mediocre but still fun snorkeling. Then we motored back into Zihuatanejo Bay and dropped anchor so everyone could get drunk, listen to a Jimmy Buffett playlist and get flopped around on a swing attached to the spinnaker. There was no real sailing involved and the bulk of the trip was devoted to drinking, sitting in the sun, in the harbor, on anchor.

The only upside was that the crew on the boat was very nice but that was definitely not enough to make the cost of time or money worthwhile.

NOT Recommended for families or people who want to sail and/or snorkel. Good if you want to get hammered on a boat and listen...

We have enjoyed the Picante sunset cruise on 4 separate occasions (March of 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025) and had a great time on all! From the time you depart all the way until you return to the dock the staff makes sure you are having fun. They do a fantastic job communicating, creating a party atmosphere, and informing you about various topics during the cruise.

Of course the sunset is spectacular, and as a bonus we have seen whales on 3 of our cruises. We will most likely take future cruises with the Picante and highly...
