This place is fantastic! Lovely atmosphere and layout. The staff are very friendly and can offer recommendations, if you are not sure on what you want. The food was excellent, and so so reasonably priced. I felt extremely valued here as a customer.

I would urge anyone visiting izamal to visit here over the kinich restaurant around the corner, which is one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. I have no idea how this place has a lower rating than kinich, but I promise you, as someone who has eaten out all over Mexico for a very long time, la conquista is 100x the restaurant that kinich is and its at half the price with 100% better service.

Absolutely blown away by la conquistas, the service and food that they offer, at the price they offer it, it's almost a wonder they make any money off it! The world's worst mexican restaurant. We ordered 5 items from the very small menu and they didn't have 3 of them. The most common dishes from Yucatan not available at 4pm. No papatzules, no panuchos and no cochinita pibil.

The place is nice and can hold more than 60 people. There was only another table with 9 people in the entire restaurant and they said to us they could not prepare the dishes we order because of the big table ahead of us.

Conquista keeps getting better and we need that. Their offerings are a good interpretation of Yucatecan cuisine. They make terrific Sopa de Lima, Poc Chuc, etc and also have some dishes other restaurants lack. Drinks are good but a little overpriced, their Chaya y pena drink is delicious....
