BBQ Joint "Los Compas" — Restaurant in Jalisco

We ordered Arrachera (skirt steak) and Costilla BBQ (pork ribs). First came the beans, avocardo sauce and hot salsa, all good especially the hot salsa with a lovely smokey chipotle flavour. The meat came and skirt steaks are cut into strips served with grilled jalapeño and Mexican green onion. Ribs are served with French fries. The skirt steaks are cooked medium with a nice charcoal flavour. It is very tender. So tender that I suspect it was marinated with meat tenderiser which I do not like. We enjoyed our first visit for lunch at this very nice restaurant in Pittiall. They do a lot of bbq but our interest was more on traditional Mexican fare. We ordered a fish ceviche and a fish and a shrimp taco and they were all excellent with lots of flavor. The place was charming and comfortable seats. My meal was Diablo shrimp. The waitress warned me they were very spicy. Well they were so hot I was not able to manage without water and the salad to cool my mouth. My husband gave me his shrimp with coconut batter which were very good. They came with fries.
