I am a HUGE fan of tamales 🫔 I have to say, these were the fluffiest and lightest I’ve ever had. Not heavy or doughy. I had the rib tamales and then ordered 2 more to go. The meat was super tender and fell off the bone (the rib itself was inside the tamale) They food came out within 2 minutes. Definitely try the Atole hot corn/milk drink. It was so tasty and creamy, (vanilla or coconut) very satisfying. The jamaica juice was equally delicious, not too sweet and very refreshing. A friend took us to Cenaduria Tia Anita in Pitillal last night. We had the mini pozole rojo, which is a soup that has hominy as the main ingredient, to start. Wow! Let's start with the fact that I visit Vallarta almost yearly and I ate at many local spots. This place is very clean, the food is amazing and the service is great; true authentic Mexican food. Tamales, tostadas and pozole are excellent and the tacos dorados too. The place has a big outdoor patio that protects you from sun and rain while eating.
