This restaurant is located in the Sierra Leon hotel on the road between Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan. Someone had told us they had a great dinner here, so we thought we would try it.
We were absolutely blown away by the excellent quality of the food! The homemade salsa that was served with the chips was different from what you usually get, and was so good, my friend asked if they sold it by the bottle. (Unfortunately no). Three of us had the filet mignon, and all of us talked about how the steak was done as requested perfectly, was very tasty, and extremely tender! My husband had the Mediterranean Shrimp and remarked on how flavorful and enjoyable it was. My margarita was one of the best that I have had, and the tiramisu was creamy and fabulous!
The phenomenal food, combined with the breath-taking view, makes it worth the trip out to the restaurant! Unfortunately it was overcast when we were there, but the view would be even more spectacular with a sunset!
You can take the 10 peso bus from Puerto Vallarta if you don't want to take a cab or have your own car.
We looked at the breakfast menu while we were there, and will definitely be back to try breakfast!
The chef/owner definitely knows his way the kitchen! We highly recommend trying Caracol!
The trip advisor listing says the restaurant is open 8am - 1 pm, but it actually is...
Read moreThis place is truly a hidden gem! Each meal I’ve had here was better than the last, and the vegetarian options are better than anywhere else for miles around. The quality of the food is gourmet level, but for the price of casual dining. Even if you’re not hungry, it’s worth stopping here just for a drink, to enjoy the view of the ocean and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below. Absolutely blissful. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things. Try this place before the...
