This place has been a favorite of mine and my family for almost two years. Their new location at Sierra Leon Hotel is beautiful and compliments their gorgeously presented delicious plates. Every time we are in Vallarta this is our go-to for Breakfast as they have a great selection of local dishes as well as their own spin on some classic breakfast items. Last night was our first time trying the dinner menu and as always they did not disappoint. I Had the tortilla soup as a starter and mixed fajitas for a main dish. The tortilla soup was delicious and the fajitas were to die for. My wife had the Caesar salad as a starter and Pork tenderloin dish as a main course. Usually my wife brings home leftovers but tonight was different. If you are in town and want some amazing food at a great price. Give this place a try. This lovely family owned restaurant is sure to leave you wanting to come...

Maria Cuquita – A Hidden Gem in Mismaloya

If you find yourself near Blue Horizon, Maria Cuquita is a must-visit spot just two minutes away. The food here is nothing short of incredible, offering authentic Mexican flavors that make every bite memorable.

I had the chilaquiles, which were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, crunch, and richness. But the true highlight for me was the concha—a traditional Mexican sweet bread that was simply out of this world. I've tried conchas in many places, and this one was by far the best.

Beyond the food, Maria Cuquita boasts breathtaking views that elevate the entire experience. The combination of delicious cuisine and stunning scenery makes it hard to pass up this spot.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area—you won’t be...

We wanted something different today so we hopped on the Mismaloya/Boca bus and headed down to María Cuquita based off of Google reviews. The bus drops you in front and the return bus stops right across the street.

It was such a nice surprise from start to finish. The menu had us stumped because everything looked great, but we ended up getting the same thing. Hard to believe at a bay-view restaurant we both ordered stuffed pork, but the description was incredible, and it lived up to it. We also ordered tuna tartare to split as an appetizer. Great presentation, and it was fresh and delicious.

The view was perfect and the breeze was pleasant. The background music was festive but not at all distracting. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Highly recommend if you're looking to get out of...

By far the best meal we have had since we have been in Mexico all week! I've enjoyed some great tacos and ceveche, yes, but this was such a refreshing change. We had such a wonderful breakfast. The server girl was so sweet and cute. Attention to detail in presentation and quality was so perfect. The French toast with almonds should be renamed to something else because it's about 20 levels above any French toast I've ever had. They make their bread at home and it's light and amazing. Think of something a little like light bread pudding and that's kind of how it is. So good! The drinks were great! The eggs Benedict was also fantastic! If we didn't have to head back home we would be back tomorrow.
