DonDe Charlie — Restaurant in Jalisco

Are first visit. Charming welcome. a huge menu (Breakfast only). Service a little slow. /we ordered breakfast and two coffees. One coffee came. Your breakfast arrived mine was beautifully platted. see photo. I had taken a bite or two the a waitress plunked our bill down on the table. we thought that was rude!! Two servers were attending our table a very engaging young man and a young women who didn't engage with us at all. I was finishing my breakfast and took a little break and the waitress was reaching for my plate and then asked are you finished? this really annoys me and it happens so often. Its ok to ask are you finished?, wait for a response, before starting to grab for the plate, or beverage. The owner Charlie is a super friendly "glad you are here" welcome guy. He stopped at our table to check several times. As were were leaving he came to speak to us and we told him about our bill being Plunked down on our table 2 minutes after our food was delivered to us. Also about how eager this waitress was to quickly remove things from your table. Charlie was happy we shared our displeasure. He said the waitress was brand new to this job. A happy you are here attitude is necessary trait and is natural personality gift. The Food: My scrambled eggs were unlike scrambled eggs in Mexico, they were light fluffy and perfectly moist they they should be. My Mexican husband likes his eggs cooked to death and slightly brown. The prices very reasonable. Kudos to the chef.the menu is very extensive. Dish prepared as ordered. there is a lot of good talent in that kitchen. A little garden setting and fresh small flowers...

We rarely do breakfast but I woke up wanting something to eat more then a yogurt. I have been hearing alot of buzz about Donde Charlie in West Ajijic..Well the buzz is warrented.. I ordered off Traitte.mx and it came fast even in the rain. Food arrived hot and pretty. Mom got their French Toast which was delicious. Its covered in a corn flake coating with almonds and fruit. She absolutely loved it. I got the Crab Eggs Benedict which was very good. I really want to go and try their Beni Weds as they have the most innovative selection of Benedicts ive ever seen. If it was this good delivered its gonna be even better there. Thanks and eat...

Out for a walk this morning and stopped in at the new DonDe Charlie restaurant located just 2 doors down from the temporary Bruno’s. The outdoor setting was cool and pleasant. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. You must try their Mexican spiced coffee. My wife had the crunchy French toast and I got a crispy chicken strip burrito.
