Gaspar Zona Real — Restaurant in Jalisco

3 years ago this was our spot. We came once a week for burgers and beer. I was sad to see totally new staff and they are not nearly as friendly or accommodating as the old crew, they sat around and chatted with each other and had to be flagged even though we’re were the only people in the restaurant. However I am glad to report that the burgers are still amazing. In fact the bread and and French fries are better than before. The only reason the food is only getting 4 stars is because the kids chicken nuggets are awful, AWFUL. Like frozen mystery meat deep fried. My kids used to love their chicken tenders but the change is enough that we will likely...

What can I say. The burgers are delicious. If a burger place is going to offer to cook the meat patty medium, then you know it’s gonna be good. So make sure you get yours medium. It has very little pink. But stays super juicy. The classic burger is one that you can’t go wrong with.

Menu is a bit eclectic, they offer some Asian entrees. (Which I appreciate)

Music plays Spanish-style ballads. Not sure what vibe they’re going for but it does the trick to a point.

But the service here is the best part. For a burger place, the staff is trained better than at some fancier places. The owner clearly takes service seriously.

Por desgracia en este restaurante Gaspar mi experiencia no fue tan buena. La hamburguesa que pedí fue la del mes, la de tuétano, decepción, no traía todo los ingredientes que mencionaron, al principio bocados sin gran sabor en realidad y al final dos bocados super salados, pero mal rollo. Sin embargo lo más decepcionante fue el costo de una Fortuna (Hazy - botella de 355 ml.) $192 pesos!! Sinceramente una abuso!! finalmente fue mi culpa por no preguntar por el costo. Los costos de la cerveza artesanal los tienen en el clásico muro y se reescriben, supongo a conveniencia, mencionar que el muro me quedó lejos y no veo bien a distancia (punto a mi favor fue que la mesera se dio cuenta de esto sin embargo no me advirtió sobre ese costo en particular) generalmente esa cerveza y en general la cerveza artesanal (nacional) la vas encontrar desde 60, 80, 90 hasta 100 y por mucho 110 pesos, eso en mi experiencia, que honestamente no es la gran cosa, así que jamás sospeche llegaría mi cuenta con ese costo que nunca he visto en ningún lugar, al menos no yo. El costo en tiendas como La Playa, la Hazy, que es la más cara o de las más, cuesta $52 pesos, (solo es la referencia). Llamé solo por curiosidad a su sucursal de La Americana y me confirmaron el mismo costo, no se quien ni como llegan a esos precios, pero lo considero un abuso y me pregunto si estos actos no estarán afectando más a la marca (Fortuna) de lo que la benefician. Disculpen, ni más pobre, ni más rico, pero de verdad pienso que no está bien manejarse...
