I am a local here in Chapala. I have eaten at this establishment many times. That was when I was served. I attended today for a special meal and may NEVER return. I am not bothered by mañana service but I object to rudeness. My wife and myself sat at one of several open tables and eagerly awaited being served. After the waiter walked past several times and ignored us , I walked to the bar for menus. No one asked if I wanted anything to drink or if I was being served.Then after sitting for 30 minutes and no one attending us I walked out the door. When I arrived downstairs I told the receptionist about my experience and the best she could say was sorry. Why did she not grab a waitress and ask me to stay?? I ordered Via Traitte to El Dorado. This was my 1st time trying this place and I was very Impressed. I have been trying to find some good fried calamari and this was the best I've had Lakeside. I also got the BBQ sandwich And WOW that was amazing. Think it would be great if it came with some bbq sauce on the side..But I had some..But the Flavor of the meat and roll was absolutely stunning..Thank you guys for going on Traitte..I'll be trying more of your food..Hopefully the Traitte guys will get your Menue in English soon for alot of the Lakeside People like me that are just learning..Thank you for a delicious meal!!!! Off the beaten path, great service, excellent food

Letra CH is set on the western end of Chapala, right across from my favorite little seafood shack in town.

The restaurant is split into upstairs and downstairs dining areas, with the upstairs boasting pretty views of the surrounding area.

Service is superb and attentive, and the food is outstanding.

Prices are a little on the high side for Chapala, but well within reason, given the outstanding quality of what's on offer.

Pro-Tip: The dining areas are open, so it pays to bring a light jacket for a cool winter's dining, despite the patio heaters in use...
