MÍTICA — Restaurant in Mérida

TLDR: Absolute Garbage. Don't eat here If you're looking for a quality burger joint, look elsewhere. Now I appreciate that a burger and chips are greasy food, but Mitica go above and beyond with their near corrosive level of fat. The moment the burger meets your lips, you'll be met with the taste of an oil spill in your mouth, so much concentrated fat that it absolutely ruins the taste of the burger with every bite. This is aside from the fact that the meat is of low quality and seasoned with extra oil. The bun is also fried with butter to make a truly heart-stopping combination. I ordered the sweet potato fries, which are honestly hard to get wrong, but what should have been a crispy and delicious taste sensation were just an undercooked festival of grease. They were very hard, clearly thrown in the frier from frozen, and pulled out with little regard to the quality of the end product. I was extremely upset.

Ultimately it's disappointing because with a few changes and quality assurance I'm sure this place can serve much better food, but at its current state I can't recommend this place at all, and hope you find better options...

Hice un pedido para llevar, la atención al principio fue buena, ordené el paquete de la cheeseburger doble, una orden de sweet potatos fries, una cheese bombs y un paquete de cheese sandwich. Antes de empezar quiero decir que Mítica bajo considerablemente la calidad de sus productos y servicio. La hamburguesa muy grasosa, y sin sabor, la carne no se sentía U.S.D.A. Choice como decía en la descripción de la hamburguesa y si lo era entonces se trata de un mal manejo de la proteína. Las sweet potatos eran más cáscara que camote, las cheese bombs sabían a pollo y hasta donde se, no llevan pollo así que me dan a entender que fríen todo en una misma freidora (existe gente vegetariana que podría no gustarle eso). Para colmo venía mal empaquetado el pedido, todo amontonando y mezclando todos los paquetes del pedido, si pido paquete de hamburguesa espero que en un empaque únicamente me traiga el paquete de hamburguesa con sus papas, en cambio juntaron la hamburguesa con el cheese sandwich y las papás de ambas órdenes, imaginen que la orden del cheese sandwich es para una persona vegetariana, creo que no le agradaría que la carne y sus jugos estén en contacto con su sándwich de queso y sus papas cierto? Si es un pedido de varias órdenes porque mezclan todo? A final de cuenta se supone que cuando costean para fijar el precio de venta de sus alimentos para el público se supone que debería estar contemplado los empaques no? Pero bueno eso podría ser relativo.

Updated: February 1st, decides not to order burger because of last experience and get something safe like chili, there was raw meat in there too. Lol DO NOT EAT HERE.

I received this completely undercooked burger for dinner tonight. I eat low carb so I ordered a burger with four patties and was surprised when I saw how much pink there was. For ground meat, that is unacceptable. Burgers are cut up because I checked each one to make sure. Do not recommend. Spent $400...
