We highly recommend this place! 🤩 We went there yesterday and we had a great experience. Both the service and the food were amazing! The waiter spoke some English and gave some good recommendations. The service was fast and very attentive. The food was amazing and they had a great variety. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Our favorites was the Thai ceviche and the brisket and short rib baos. We highly recommend this place and we hope to visit this place again.

El mejor restaurante de todo Mérida sin duda. Recomiendo totalmente una parada en este lugar si visitas Mérida. Un pequeño restaurante escondido cerca de la gran plaza te sorprende con sus platillos de enorme sabor, cocina honesta que se disfruta en el paladar y en el bolsillo. Su costo de oportunidad es enorme porque vale lo que inviertes en venir a probar su carta. Probamos diferentes bao, como el de camarón, short rib, brisket y cerdo así como uno dulce de chocolate y la verdad es que saben igual o hasta mejor de lo que he podido degustar en otros sitios del país y hasta en el extranjero. Te apapachan con sus 3 salsas de la casa que le terminan de dar ese toque a cada bocado y al igual que su yakimeshi y ceviche (sin dejar atrás los postres) disfrutas en todo momento tu estadía cenando felizmente. Recomiendo venir con buen apetito para poder probar varios y si vienen en pareja o en grupo compartan para hacer mejor y mayor su experiencia. Lo único malo quizás es su horario ya que abren únicamente después de las 18:00 hrs y su mobiliario es incómodo porque es pequeño para poder sentarte plácidamente. Si ven un gatito en su visita saludenlo porque parece que es el dueño del lugar dando sus recorridos en cada mesa para saber que sus comensales están cómodos y disfrutando de sus alimentos. Sin más, el mejor restaurante de Mérida.

Surprisingly delicious food from this place. I was hesitant to try it but we went based on a recommendation from Reddit and this place lives up to the hype. We loved all the dishes and the Yakimeshi and pork belly bun were our favorites. Easily 5 stars and we will be back.

We stumbled upon Wah Bao while out running errands up north, and I'm glad we did!

The restaurant has very casual outdoor seating with plenty of fans to keep us cool on a hot spring day. There was just one other table occupied, and along with some chill music the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

My wife went for a pork belly and short rib baos, and I tried the Yakimeshi bowl with beef. I washed mine down with a Coke and she had some Agua de Jamaica (Iced Hibiscus Tea). Everything was tasty and nicely presented

The bill came to $358 pesos before tip, which we thought was fair for the quality of the food. The service was great, and the bathroom was spotless!

Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be...

Seriously delicious baus! Ramen was all that!! We tried Pork Belly bau, tempura chicken bau, short rib bau, and brisket bau!! OMGoodness!!

Then the Tom Ka Kay and shoyu ramen and the green salad!

Even the aguas were delicious!

Open air side of house car port modified to a cozy atmo, music not too loud and nice garden!!

I’m from San Francisco Bay Area do I know a good hit when I struck one!!

oh! And the Yakimeshi rice bowl in a half a coconut shell, even my finicky 5 year old son ate that without gripe and protest!!
