Churrascaría Miramontes — Restaurant in Mexico City

Originally I rated this restaurant very high. They had a 2 x 1 promotion going on for quite some time and it felt like a very good deal for the quality and amount of food. Since the meat is all you can eat, I would often come here instead of having to choose a specific cut at a normal restaurant. One day they gave me a free dinner coupon, which under normal circumstances is not very useful because I would always bring an extra person and take advantage of the 2 x 1 promotion that they had. However, I decided to bring along a third person to take advantage of the coupon on the last day before the coupon expired. When I tried to use it though I found that it has to be after 6 pm in order to use the coupon. So, I asked the manager if he could do anything and the manager Cesa promised me that the next time I came he would let me use it. I accepted his promise and came again and tried to use the coupon, however they declined to allow me to use it, stating that the coupon was expired and they absolutely can’t do any promotions in December. Cesa was not there for me to ask him to remember his promise, and the other manager did not seem to care about his promise at all. The manager actually told me that if they gave us one buffet for free (we were a party of two) then the restaurant would charge him for it. I can’t believe such a lie, that a manager would have literally no tools to appease a customer. The other problem that bothered me is that when we entered, it was the first of December, they did not tell us that the two for one promotion was no longer valid. We mentioned this to him too and he said he would educate his employees, but he was the one who welcomed us when we came in.

My final complaint is that when you’re here sometimes the people who bring the meat will completely ignore you, not offering you any meat and instead returning to the kitchen with a full stick/rack of meat.

The meat is a bit salty but overall I like the taste of it. I do not recommend the salad bar, there was never anything good there. There is also a pasta chef who will make you various pastas. I tried the fettuccini alfredo but it was not...

The salad bar was ok, some stuff had better quality and some did not; they also offered beef stew which was actually tasty. The meat selection was ok. Some were better than others (good: chistorra, sausages, picaña, filet mignon, pancetta, parmesan pork; not that great: top sirloin and rib eye were not tender). Service was good, fast, and friendly. Drinks are not too expensive. They have complimentary desserts that are simple and looked ok (did not try those) and a cake cart but the three milk cake was dry (80 pesos). The Brazilian coffee was tasty (Baileys, 43 liquor, milk foam, and expresso). The cost of the buffet was decent (330 pesos) for what you get. The place was clean (except the WC. Esta publicación es para contarles el mal rato que pasó mi hermana de 24 años de edad al acudir a comer al establecimiento conocido como La Churrascaría, sucursal Coapa y evitar que ustedes también sean víctimas de esta gente que abusa de las circunstancias. Ya antes varias veces he visitado ese lugar, incluso era uno de mis favoritos hasta hoy. Resulta que mi hermana, junto con un compañero de trabajo acudió a comer a dicho establecimiento. Resulta que al pedir la cuenta le dan una nota en la cual notan que les hacen un cargo por concepto de IVA, del cual desconozco si es correcto que un establecimiento lo cobre o no, porque jamás me ha pasado o ya viene incluido en los precios de carta. Ellos se dan cuenta pero al final deciden pagar, al regresar el mesero con su cambio, les entrega un ticket en el cual no se ve reflejado dicho cobro y les indican que la propina sugerida es del 10% del total de la cuenta. Mi hermana se levanta molesta con su acompañante y se disponen a salir, a lo que los meseros los alcanzan antes de salir de la sucursal y les dicen que no se pueden retirar hasta dejar la propina que se les indicó. Ellos preguntan a la hostess y ella les indica que en esa sucursal es obligatorio dejar propina. Tratan de salir y son impedidos para hacerlo. Entonces ante el susto y el acoso deciden dejar el monto que se les solicita y salen del establecimiento. La verdad no me parece justo que aprovechen de esa forma de...
