Izakaya Sushi Miramontes — Restaurant in Mexico City

Visited this place twice now and i would come back again. My server was awesome, very polite and well knowledge of the food.

The reason why this is not a 5 out if 5 but a strong 4 star restaurant. 1st, it's not the authentic Japanese food you want, and for some dishes that's ok, but for other like the Ramen, it's flavor it's not as bold and flavorful as it should be. 2ns the Sushi was fine, but it could be so much better if the Sushi rice was prepare how it should be, a dash of sugar and rice wine goes a long way. 3, some side dishes are not strong because the way they are prepared. For example, the pork Belly skewers are good but could be so much better if they were not thin slide. That way you can really taste the fat and tenderness from the belly.

Their house Cocktails are delicious please try some. Their shrimp Gyosa is super delicious and flavorful. The overall price to the restaurant is well worth it. I would suggest you dine in instead or using Uber Eats or other apps, for some reason Uber eats charges you so much more per dish that it's just better picking up the food and eating at home...

The food here was amazing, the sushi super fresh, the portions were big and you can tell there’s quality ingredients in their dishes. Plus, the atmosphere is nice, you can sit at the terrace or inside, both quite nice.

However, the reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the waiter that had our table that night was quite rude and was over charging us, knowingly, as soon as we asked him to come over, he said “oh it’s wrong, let me change it” without us even saying that we needed to have the bill checked. We were also pressured to leave MORE tip, as the woman charging us kept us asking if we were sure about the money she was charging our card.

Very happy with the food and service. This location has a conveyor belt of sushi; I used to think the belt thing was gimmicky. However this was a perfect opportunity for me to select different types of sushi for $35 pesos!! I was able to try several small pieces at a reasonable price. The place also has a play area for my son, the play area is clean and secure. The servers and were very attentive.
