I would say this is the best place to have breakfast in Mexico City. Traditional Mexican food. Their bread is a MUST..
🍽 The food is amazing what ever you order is great. My favorite breakfast dish is called "huevos a la cazuela", made with 2 scrabble eggs with salsa. Ask for their "bolillo" which is a style of bread, they made them everyday so they are amazing.
🍸🍻🍷they have freshly made juice & coffe. I recomend the Traditional Mexican coffee: "Cafe de olla"
👤 The Service is great in this place, even if the restaurant seems crowded the staff is fast and they get your order right away.
🛎 Wait time can be bad on weekends so get there early. I do not belive they accept reservation.
🚻 they have bathrooms for men and women
🅿️ There is valet parking outside the restaurant. There is also street parking (you would need to pay) in the streets behind the restaurants. They have parking meter, which only acceps coins.
♿ it is easy to access (it's on the 1st floor. No steps)

Service from the waiters was not very good but, in a way, understandable because the restaurant was large and packed. We had an assortment of breakfast items, including several very nice fresh bread/pastry options. Chilaquiles overall were very good, although the sauce was much richer than any I had tried before but I did enjoy them (red and green). We had the Eggs with grasshopper sauce which was very good, scrambled eggs were basic and blah, but the food overall was good. We would...
Read moreMany things keep me coming back to Mexico City. But at the top of the list are the people, the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and hidden gems like El Cardenal. I was recommended this restaurant by a close associate who lives in Mexico City. He recommended I get there early as the crowd starts to pick up rapidly. I arrived at 8:30 AM and had no issues getting a table. But within an hour the place was bustling with executives and Mexico City is upper class. Sitting outside was enjoyable. Probably ate the most delicious concha I’ve ever had, fresh out of the oven. The green juice and mango purée are delicious. The lattes were a little smaller than what I’m used to but we are every bit delicious. The staff made me feel extremely special and...
