When I first came into the restaurant, I started to feel really insecure because everyone who was already eating turned around and watched me sit down as if they were judging me. After sitting down, it took like 10 minutes for a server to come and ask us what we would like to drink, which is not good at all because once you sit down you want to start eating and enjoying your meal straight away. After the server gave me the menu, I could barely read it because the menu was vey badly designed. The background was black and it had golden letters. Also, the menu was not that big, which is also not a good thing, because it did not have much food variety.
The decor was really boring and simple. It even gave the sensation of taking a class at school. For example, the chairs which we sat on were identical to the ones in my school which meant that they were not comfortable at all. The music that they were playing was absolutely disgusting and it even made me leave earlier than I expected because it is really annoying and disturbing while you are talking,. It was some type of traditional Japanese music. The lighting was also quite bad because it was too dark that you couldn’t even see your own food properly which makes the experience kind of exciting but at the same time nerve-wracking.
The food was a complete rollercoaster of feelings and tastes. I had 10 courses starting with the tiradito ikigai. This dish is a sashimi with lubina and some type of citrus sauce with some salt from the Himalayas. It tasted very refreshing and had a very special flavor which was indescribable. Having tried that tiradito, we ordered a sushi called totaba roll, which is made out of rice lubina fish, wasabi mayo, and some sea weed. The preparation happened in front of us and even though we could barely see what they were doing, it was pretty cool because they placed the fish on the outside of the rice, which is quite unusual to see. After a couple of minutes, we tasted the sushi. It was spectacular and left me absolutely speechless. This was because the balance of the flavours was perfect and the wasabi mayo was nothing like I’d seen before. After this, we had some very powerful nigiris of akami, salmon king, albacore, hamachi, huachinango, Kama toro, Chu toro and wagyu meat. These nigiris were of very high quality but each one of them had their own personality and tasted which was really easy to notice. To end the meal we ordered a Japanese desert called mochi, which is like a ball of ice cream covered in some type of cream which was flavorful and a really incredible way to end the meal.
Overall, the experience was really enjoyable but it was the service which lowers the enjoyability due to that we had to wait a long time. The price was little bit overpriced but overall the experience was...
Read moreThe food is terrible, refrigerated and sticky rice, sauces too blend, I think water diluted. Took too long to eat, because food was being preparedb(so we were told), and finally we got something un edible. We left the most part of the food. As we told our server of the bad food experience, she just defended her position and the place (logically). The only good thing about the restaurant is the...
