Over the years, I have visited the store countless times, and I can confidently say that they have never failed to impress me. I know how coveted "street tacos" are in Mexico City, but unless you have a strong stomach avoid these tacos or any food that is made next to or along the street. I was bed ridden for 2 days about 3 years ago after eating these tacos. Even though I warned them, my parents recently had them when they visited family and they both got sick. The food may be prepared cleanly, but when you're cooking and serving any food a spiting distance from a dirty street that is constantly trafficked, you're bound to have microscopic contaminants land on the food. Locals digestive systems are used to these contaminants so they don't get sick as often. Only family and friends visiting from the US seem to get sick from these places while our family in Mexico never get sick even though we ate the same food. Después de aterrizar en la ciudad, no puedes dejar pasar la oportunidad de probar los famosos tacos de Los Güeros de Buturini, un lugar que se ha vuelto popular por su aparición en Netflix. Y aunque hay muchas opciones de taquerías en la zona, tenía curiosidad por probar estos.

Lo que pedí:

Tacos de suadero: Para mí, este fue el mejor del lugar. El suadero tiene esa grasita y gordito que le da un toque jugoso y lleno de sabor. Si eres de los que aprecian un buen taco grasoso, este es tu taco. Le doy un 10 por ese toque tan especial.

Tacos de tripa: Pedí la tripa doradita, como debe ser, y la verdad no me decepcionó. La combinación perfecta de crujiente y suave le gana otro 10.

Tacos al pastor: Aunque no alcanzaron la excelencia de los otros, el pastor estaba bien condimentado y la carne tenía buen sabor. Les doy un 9.

Torta de pastor: Una opción más robusta y bien servida. Sin embargo, no se lleva tantos reflectores como los tacos.

Choriqueso y queso fundido: Ambos son una buena opción para acompañar tus tacos. Especialmente el queso fundido, que estaba muy sabroso. Le pongo un 9.

Las salsas: El lugar cuenta con una variedad de cinco salsas que complementan perfectamente los tacos:

Salsa verde cocida, muy equilibrada.

Guacamole y una salsa verde a base de guacamole, que aporta un toque cremoso.

Salsa roja, con un picante justo y buen sabor.

Salsa de chipotle, que combina de maravilla con los tacos al pastor.

En general, las salsas estuvieron bastante bien, pero en lo personal, la roja fue mi favorita.

El lugar: El servicio fue rápido y el personal, muy amable. Estuve en la parte de arriba del local, que tiene un espacio cómodo, pero les recomendaría no usarlo como bodega, ya que el olor de las verduras almacenadas puede restarle puntos a la experiencia. En cuanto a la higiene, los baños estaban aceptables, aunque no perfectos, por lo que les doy un 8.5.

Si eres fan de los tacos de suadero, tripa o pastor, Los Güeros de Buturini es una parada obligada. A pesar de algunos detalles en el espacio, el sabor de los tacos es lo que realmente destaca. Si buscas otras opciones en la zona, te sugiero pasar también por toda la calle encontrarás infinidad de negocios.
