Cevicheria La Cruz — Restaurant in Nayarit

Today we bussed to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Spent morning touring markets and sights & sounds and chose this because it is known for ceviche and oysters. Unfortunately, no oysters today. but still a highlight to lunch at La Cevicheria. Beautiful little local family resto with lots of character and class. Ceviche was awesome, as were burger, burrito, quesadilla y limonada. Great friendly service. Lots of locals dining in as well as walking up to the sidewalk stand for takeout service. Always...

So much great food in this town but I find myself here over and over again. Personally love the shrimp tacos and empanadas. The spicy pickled onions with the condiments is a must try! It's things like this place that make it almost impossible to contemplate leaving. The staff is wonderful and the place is clean. Definitely worth the time and the few...

This is the best ceviche you will ever have in Mexico. The molida was my favorite, but the camaron/ pulpo was also tasty. Very nice combination of fish and veggies, with generous strips of avocado on top. Portion sizes are huge, so get the half-portion...even splitting one between 2...
