La Toscana — Restaurant in Nayarit

It's great for steak lovers. The main buffet don't have a clue how to cook steak. These guys do. Fabulous meal every time. I had the fillet and shrimp surf and turf on this occasion. We're a regular though in any steak house in any Riu Hotel. Also in photos is the New York steak and some of the puddings available. Chocolate layer cake and apple pie. Get here early though. One night we came 15 minutes after opening and were here 2 hours. Try and be here 10 to 15 minutes...

Since the recent renovation, all restaurants look and feel extremely clean and upscale.

The food here is good. There is an appetizer bar with salads, pizzas and antipastas. We came here twice during our week long stay. Chicken parmesan is good, lasagna is decent. Served bread with oil and vinegar at the table, bread is supposed to be focaccia but is pretty cakey, but still good.

There seems to be a decent selection of wines, but not all are included despite...
