Black Honey Café: A Haven for Delightful Brunch and Coffee Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Prepare to be amazed by the enchanting experience that awaits you at Black Honey Café. As a brunch enthusiast, I can confidently say that their menu is a true delight. The breakfast burger surpassed all expectations with its incredible taste, while the Chila-killers were a real treat that left me wanting more. But the culinary journey doesn’t end there. The coffee at Black Honey Café is simply divine. Each sip of my latte was a delightful moment of pure bliss. The balance of flavors and the expertly crafted beverages made me appreciate the artistry behind their coffee. What sets Black Honey Café apart is not just their food and beverages, but also the relaxed and charming atmosphere that envelops you as soon as you enter. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, working remotely, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee. The cozy ambiance and inviting decor create an ideal setting for a laid-back café experience. Adding to the allure is the café’s location inside Casa Cler, a cute boutique. It was a delightful surprise to be able to indulge in some retail therapy after brunch. Casa Cler’s curated selection of Mexican makers and artisans offers a unique and enjoyable shopping experience. Exploring the boutique after a satisfying meal added an extra layer of delight to my visit. In conclusion, if you’re searching for a place that combines delightful food, delicious coffee, and an overall inviting ambiance, Black Honey Café is the perfect destination. Whether you’re seeking a tasty brunch, a flavorful cup of coffee, or a relaxing hangout spot, this café has it all. Don’t miss the opportunity to also explore Casa Cler for a dose of retail therapy. Trust me, this delightful combination is not to be missed.

Nestled in San Jeronomo, near Enrique Livas con Gonzalitos, this was a hidden gem and had youthful and friendly baristas that shared their passion for coffee! Plenty of space inside, rustic shelves with books, and not much bling, dated locale, but that actually gave it an authentic Monterrey charm that I enjoyed vs a plastic Starbuck’s feel. Great wifi to work and a few intimate tables if you wanted to share a coffee with a friend, it feels just like a house in the colonia. Barista was young but quite open to learning more and inquisitive. Knowledgeable and had worked in other coffee shops in the area, too. The coffee was a Veracruz medium roast, of the finest quality, single origin, from mountains near Xalapa. Mild and earthy, wonderful aftertaste. I had a concentrated whole milk latte with caramel casero. Vanilla flavor is also available and the price was excellent for the quality, I was not charged extra for the homemade syrup making this place on balance the best deal so far in Monterrey for a superior cup. Just two negatives here but they do not affect a strong five star rating because I’m here for the coffee and I got the right drink temperature. The milk being used is ultrapasteurized and though the good coffee came through I could tell. The owner will consider getting regular pasteurized milk - I hope! Second if you drive here, parking is difficult but available. Great place. Uniquely Monterrey 🇲🇽 I’ll be back!

I found this coffee shop while exploring Cumbres. There isn't dedicated parking, so I drove around for a bit to find street parking and then walked over. The coffee shop shares space with Casa Cler so it was a bit confusing at first. Just go through the pink doors and keep walking straight. Casa Cler has some really cute items though so you may get distracted 😊. I ordered the chilaquilles rojos, french toast, and Lavanda Iced Coffee with oat milk. The chilaquilles were rich, the best red sauce I've had in Monterrey so far (even better than Frida Chilaquilles). The protein is black beans and the fried egg, but I was very satisfied after eating. They use good quality ingredients and my chips didn't get soggy quickly. The french toast was unique. I loved the flavor but the bread was soggy and I don't like soggy french toast, I like it to be more done. I'll try then again and ask for them to be cooked longer to see if there is a difference. The coffee was normal. The atmosphere was friendly with nice decor, books to read, and plants all around.
