for special Disappointing Anniversary Experience – Great Food, Cold Service

We chose this place for a special occasion—our anniversary—mainly based on the strong reviews. When we called to make the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating anything, and we mentioned our anniversary. Strangely, they asked the same question again when we arrived. We’re still not sure why our personal celebration was relevant, especially since there was no acknowledgment or special gesture once we were there.

While the food was absolutely great—no complaints at all—the service and atmosphere left us very disappointed. The staff (with the exception of the friendly lady at the entrance) were cold and unwelcoming. Not a single smile or warm interaction throughout the evening.

We arrived at 5:30 PM and were told we had to leave by 7:00 PM, even though more than half the restaurant was empty the entire time. It felt rushed and impersonal. After we received our appetizer, no one came back to take our main order—we had to flag someone down ourselves. It seemed like they expected a one-time order and didn’t want further interaction.

Overall, while the food was good, the service and ambiance were not what we expected for a special night out. I truly regret choosing this place for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we won’t...

Ichikani, based on Japanese traditions and aesthetics but still using spicy mayo :(. Ichinkani has a few stars on the menu including one that I tried tonight, Miami roll, a fresh taste of tune with a truffle dressing inside that permeates your mouth. Overall this restaurant delivers decent quality, you sort of get what you pay for, only in some cases with the sushi, some come small and poorly made. Service was great, great ambience only prepare yourself for a club type vibe, loud music. I’d prefer going to Hanaichi because it has better sushi and you pay the same as Ichikani. There’s things on the menu that look great, things that aren’t sushi. Definetly a place...

Este lugar es medianamente aceptable, no lo mejor en comida japonesa, ni lo peor, tiene cosas buenas y cosas no tan buenas...

Lo malo:

-Te limitan la estancia por 2 horas con 30 minutos, a pesar de tardarse más de 1 hora para poder traerte tus platillos.

-Te traen los platillos en el orden como un restaurante de tacos en la esquina, lo que vaya saliendo te lo dan, y puede pasar hasta media hora para que a tu acompañante le den su comida después de ti.

-Se olvidaron de varios de los platillos que habíamos pedido, y se los tuvimos que recordar al menos 2 veces para que lo trajeran.

-Cuando pedimos alguna salsa como la siracha, nos dieron tan tan poca que pareciera que se les estaba terminando (a pesar de tener un ticket promedio de 900 por persona).

-El mesero era muy amable, pero solo nos ponía atención una vez cada 45 minutos, se le olvidaban las bebidas que le pedíamos, los platillos que ordenamos, y los complementos que pedíamos los traía cuando quería (ya se había enfriado la comida para entonces).

-Las porciones son solamente para bocas pequeñas, al menos tienes que pedir 2-3 platillos para poder quedar satisfecho.

-Algunos de los platillos (como el que ven en mi foto) estaba desabrido y otros estaban demasiado salados, como si se les hubiera pasado la mano.

Lo bueno:

-La comida es muy sabrosa, está bien hecha (cuando no te toca salada), es uno de los mejores sushis que he probado. Claro, si se tardaron más de una hora en hacerlo, tenía que saber bien.

-El personal es muy amable y servicial.

-El ambiente es excelente.

El menú es completamente claro respecto a lo que recibirás y sus precios.

-Si es tu cumpleaños, te regalan una rebanda de un pastel 😅.
