Great place to come be at the beach, the restaurant has tables and chairs with shade that make a beach day stay more confortable. You can come and stay as long as you want as long as you buy anything, it can be some food a drink whatever you want, and there's no minimum to spend. They also have Internet that they can share and you can bring your own cooler with your own drinks, again as long as you buy something at the restaurant you're set. They have a good selection of food, shrimp, fish, octopus and even chicken and beef if seafood is not your preference.

I find most of this restaurants are the same. We picked this one. We ordered some food and drinks, everything is more expensive than other bays. Coconut here are $100 pesos. I ordered one and got really sick. They coconut water tasted kind of sour and the meat tasted weird and like it was washed. I find this restaurants very expensive for what they have to offer. The bay is very nice.

SCAM ALERT: Check your bill and food poisoning caution! Our bill was inflated from 6 drinks that we had for 3 people to 10 (we had 3 beers but were charged for 7 adding $360 pesos to the total). The tip (propina) was included, so do not tip more. When I pointed out the error - the payment staff put on a performance - checking slips of paper. Not a word of apology from the payment staff - in fact, they acted like I was the problem (we were only there for 1 hour on a boat tour, there is no way we could throw back 7 beers + other drinks). Meanwhile I noticed that other guests had problems with their bills. (I took a photo of the bill; later a server came to our table to apologize. He said mistakes happen when it is busy (it was not that busy). Also, my son had a ridiculously overpriced mojito ($200 pesos) which we are certain caused him food poisoning (dirty mint). That is the only thing he ate or drank all day that we did not also consume. It is hard to know where to sit at a busy beach like Maguey. Avoid this place - the staff have "Camaron Gigante" printed on their white shirts. (One star for atmosphere - it is a beautiful beach but all the other restaurants have the...

The tour boat deposited us on the beach and steered us towards tables The most attention we received was a waiter covering the salsa stain on the tablecloth and giving us menus it was all downhill from there. The bathrooms were gross. We had to ask for salsa and chips, which came after our entrees were delivered. My fish filet was tough and my husbands shrimp were tasty but difficult to peel. The biggest insult, however, was the 10% charge for the “government “ when we had to walk away from our table to pay with a credit card. Should have found a different restaurant...
