Papolina Coffee & Snack Gourment — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Our second visit. First time was a very flavorful breakfast with Decaffeinated Capucchino. The "Omelette con Camaron" was great with some salad and a fresh baked small baguette. Also had the "Molletes con Chorizo" which was also enjoyable. This visit we had dinner consisting of a Large "Chorizo de Pamplona" pizza which has a very thin cracker like crust. I felt it was a bit overpriced and could have used more sauce and Chorizo. Taste was ok but nothing special. We also had the "Pasta Alfredo" with Shrimp. It had plenty of thick rich Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and some ham. The menu did not mention the ham. It was Fantastic with lots of flavor and would order it again! Also had some Mostachon cake. Was our second time having the same cake and this time the whipped cream topping seemed to have less lemon flavor. Look forward to trying some other Pasta's on...

The waitress is very kind and polite but someone made a terrible mistake: They gave me my coffee with dish soap. After I told them, they changed it, but it was already too late. The coffee had already made me feel very sick; I nearly threw up and got a stomachache. I had to ask them for yogurt or something, otherwise they wouldn't have cared at all. Hace unas semanas visité Papolina y pedí una ensalada que en la carta estaba descrita como ensalada de pollo. Sin embargo, al llegar a casa y abrirla, me llevé una gran decepción: la ensalada tenía solo tres pedacitos muy pequeños de pollo, muchas lechugas, unas cuantas rebanadas de fresa y muy pocas nueces.

Sinceramente, me sentí decepcionada. Por el precio que pagué, esperaba algo más equilibrado y acorde con la descripción del platillo. Si el pollo no va a ser un ingrediente principal, tal vez deberían reconsiderar el nombre del platillo o ajustar las porciones.

A pesar de esto, quiero reconocer que el servicio fue muy rápido, la persona que me atendió fue súper amable y el lugar es bonito y agradable. Sé que no volvería por una ensalada, pero he leído buenos comentarios sobre su café y postres, así que tal vez tienen otras cosas que valen la pena.
